I'm a bit curious how many new campaigns do you start per month. I don't mean specifically new offer, but trying a new angle with totally different creatives for a working campaign for example.
I know it depends from niche to niche, from traffic source to another, but think on the last 6 months and make an average.
I need this for my tool and maybe some other guys might had this question in mind as well(I know I had).
This exact same questions ran on Warrior forum. But its good to see it here. I wonder, how many campaigns Mr. Green and company are pulling. I am really curious. Sorry, i don't want to offend anyone.
I wouldn't say I'm a super affiliate but I've done more than one million dollars last year, So speaking about myself I personally spend 10 - 15 percent of my net profit on new tests some times more if I found something promising... What I'm trying to say here is that it really depends on budget for me.
Over 20 for the last couple years is the norm for me.
But I've got people to help me otherwise doing it on top of managing current camps would be pretty intense.
So far there are 2 camps, guys with over 20 and guys with less than 10.
So you guys over 20, do you outsource?
For those under 10, why so low? do you focus just on optimizing the existing ones?
Mine is low because when I have something working, i often set up campaigns for new offers or expanding the working angles to other targets, offers, etc.
I have limited time so there are 2 things I can do.
-Milk offer A by getting the most out of it by researching new angles.
-Get new campaigns running.
I go for option #2 because offer A might become unavailable for whatever reason. I like to spread out as much because it's a pain starting from scratch on a time limit.
I do run a one man show all the way which has great advantages and terrible disadvantages... I had one big campaign and I had to make at least 20 custom landing pages everyday + tracking setup + traffic sources setup and optimization that's beside the rest of the main campaigns I have so it's a killing for sure.
10-15 when other camps are slowing down, 1-10 when big campaigns are running
Seems that it's relative depending if you have find a big campaign or not.
Id say on average over the past 6 months I've probably made at least 30-40 campaigns a month.
That is excluding profitable campaigns that run through out that time.
If I didn't have profitable campaigns going id be launching 10-20 campaigns a day.
1000s because we do global cpi and every geo has a campaign but we always test multiple angles per. Then optimize. If i had a product giving me recurring revenue a month id be more focused on that thus would too setup less campaigns.
This is a fascinating thread.
The guys who are launching 10-20 campaigns a day, can you give any tips or insights into how to build up to that?
Cashflow is one factor I'm sure, but there must be other efficiency and productivity techniques I'm guessing.
As somebody who's pretty new to this and still takes maybe three or four hours to set up a single campaign, I think that would be really useful to know, and I would deeply appreciate it.
I don't know this for a fact, but judging from the guys who've posted, I'd assume there's a direct correlation between the amount of campaigns one creates in a day and the general level of success.
Nice thread though, enjoying these insights.
All depends on how many campaigns I'm currently managing.
If you don't have a lot on your plate in terms of managing/work, you should be launching a LOT, or atleast testing a lot whether its new campaigns, ideas, banners, landing pages, keep testing and then move on if it doesn't stick.
