Need a FAST Server for Brazil. Any suggestions?

Hey guys,

I'm running some diet stuff in Brazil, and need a fast load speed for my landing page. Currently mine is at 1.6 seconds for people in Brazil. Which is twice as slow as I want it to be. Does anyone know a good hosting I can use that would increase my load speeds? Something not too hard to set up.

Also, do you believe that I could convert a lot better, if my speed was faster? Today, I had 111 unique clicks out of 428 that stay on my page for longer than 1 minute. I have a lot of visitors that stay only for 10 seconds. Are speeds too slow so they never wait for it to load?

Thank guys!

Yes, very efficient. They are from Microsoft.

+1 on azure. Our entire business is running on azure VMs and paas. The Brazilian datacenter is in preview mode, meaning it is fully operational but Microsoft makes no commitment on SLAs yet.

Load speed is basically the one factor that you can always say is better when lower.

There are various VPS providers you can work with, e.g. VPS.net, Amazon, Azure, can't say which is best but I was impressed by raw performance of the Azure platform when testing a compute instance. Azure offers ~$250 in trial credit so hit dat.

Hostdime also have off-book VPS services in Sao Paulo - you have to ask for them specifically as they're not on their sales page, but they exist.

And of course, Amazon has a datacenter in Sao Paulo. Usual rules about not running micro or mini instances on Amazon (because of terrible I/O) apply!

Agree, don't run micro instances (AWS) or extra small instances on azure.
