Product Back-End (4)

Product Back-End

I have a product I'm selling and I'm beginning to work on the back-end.

I'm working on an ebook "downsell", an audio "upsell". I'm also going to offer 1-on-1 private Skype coaching.

I have an email newsletter that I send out once daily. 15 of the emails are solid content, advice articles and the other 15 are pushing affiliate offers. So day 1, content email...day 2, affiliate offer email...day 3, content email and so on...

On my main lp, I'm adding a "Name & Email" form and those users receive the 30 day email newsletter so I can attempt to monetize some of the traffic I'm already receiving.

I've split tested different price points and found the best one. I'm also scaling to new traffic sources.

What else can I do to monetize this? I've heard so many people talk about a customer list can be a goldmine, I'm interested in learning how to actually turn it into one though.

From the email professionals, is my email plan of affiliate offers every other day too much?

Lastly, how can I determine the value of a lead? So we can know the maximum price point to pay affiliates for a lead that incentivizes a lot of affiliates running our offer, but also maximizes our profit. I've learned that's the biz model for some successful products is they pay a really high affiliate commission and may even lose money on the front-end to do so, but then crush it on the back-end.

If i wanted my product promoted by a lot of affiliates id offer them such a crazy proposal theyd be tempted to take it. Ie if product is 97 dollars give then 90 per sale if you have a great backend where you will upsell, rebill, push other offers to them later.

I'd probably recommend reducing the ratio of content to affiliate offers slightly. So, maybe Day 1 and 2 are content, day 3 is an offer, and so on, or even days 1-3 content, day 4 offer. It pays to get your audience to trust and value your emails before you hit them with an offer. That way you can keep milking your list for years!

I've usually found it's not worth capturing name as well as email in terms of lost leads compared to increased personalisation, but I know other people have different opinions on that.

Looks good - I'm very interested to hear how you get on!

Send out email surveys to reveal your customers pain, then try to create another product for that. (digital or physical)
Try creating your own physical product. If you can invest a few grand it's so easy to get producers of various products to put your name / brand / label on their products (Alibaba, Google, even the Yellow Pages can help you with that).
Are you in the information industry? Membership sites with fresh content and recurring billing.

You can only determine the value of a lead by time and proper tracking. The quality of a lead depends on a lot of factors, especially on the traffic source and angle used. Be very cautious when running affiliate traffic to your offer. Monitor that shit like a hawk as you have no idea how the affiliate is portraying your product / offer / service. If the user signs up and your content does not meet his expectations it's pretty likely that he won't convert in the long run.

I wouldn't push your offer to networks since you're in the early stages. Try to get a few affiliates directly running your offer which gives you more control over everything. Give them daily caps that are high enough to motivate them running your offer but low enough that you don't risk too much of your budget.

PM me your Skype if you want to bounce some ideas.
