CPVLabs campaign URL issue

i've tried to track several campaigns and initially, there wld be campaigns URL generated and when i use the hyperlink "test link" it works all fine and i can get to my lander. but now, out of the 3 campaigns, only 1 campaign has a working campaign URL. the rest just leads to a connection timeout.

can someone help me out here? don't really know what went wrong.

Sounds like the campaign URL is trying to go to some unreachable destination or there is some serious issue with the tracker.

Does this happen if you make a brand new campaign linking to a new lander? Are you loading via https or http?

new campaigns still have the same issue and i'm loading via http. i've contacted cpvlabs support and also just give it a shot here in hope to get the fastest solution possible. thank you

i realise that the link occassionally works and occassionally doesnt. whenever it does though, it takes more than 5seconds or so. didnt have the problem at the start. trying to pinpoint the problem but at the moment i still cant

1. Flush your DNS (run command prompt > ipconfig /flushdns), clear your browser cache and then load the campaign URL while connected to VPN to ensure it's not some connectivity issue on your end.

2. You could install NewRelic on your server so that you can identify any memory or process-related bottlenecks. E.g. MySQL poorly configured > maxing out VPS memory > everything slowed down. That should be fixed by restarting the process or server and of course reconfiguring appropriately.

so after a couple of days, CPV guys have managed to settle the problem, its caused by the first time loading of the WURFL cache. it had taken 6mins 20secs to load. the long load time was the cause of the disconnect before everything could actually be loaded.
thanks for the help zeno!
the next problem i encounter was this...
i've been trying to set up my campaigns, tested my links and looked them up at the stats page. i've used a samsung s4 and a samsung note 3 to click on my link and under the stats page, it only registers as andriod, and generic. it didnt tell me exactly what brand/model my phone was. what is the problem here?

Weird! So is this with the WURFL stuff enabled i.e. the extra mobile lookup?

If it's giving weird results it may pay to reboot the server or restart whatever service caches the database and 'start fresh'.

Are you using the latest version of WURFL? New versions come out pretty frequently. That may explain the inconsistency in the tracking.
