Last advice before jumping in?

If anyone has any warnings or a better idea of a solid money-maker, please let me know here. After coming off web/affiliate for years, I'm jumping into media buys / paid traffic. I've belong to a few good CPA networks and have studied almost long enough I feel. I tested the water at Traffic Junky and will probably go into the adult area.

This would be a good time for anyone to stop me if it seems futile for a $2K/mo budget or there about lol. I work full time on this stuff. I can spend 8 hours a day on it. My other online stuff pays for my bills and the available budget, so I have the time to put in on it. The only thing is it seems with adult, just about every follow along ends in breaking even.

I've got the method down pretty good with the when to stop, when to keep going, the tools, the servers, etc. I just would like to know with such a small budget if it's all in vain. I looked at POF and even Lead Impact for PPV and SiteScout for media buys for other types of verticals instead too. I want to do just one method and do it well. I have time to switch it up to something if it will bring solid profits for a person who's dedicated and who has time to work on it. I also looked into mobile and joined IMGrind but it seems way pretty detailed and seems to have a pretty steep learning curve with limited funds at first glance.

Anyway, chime here if you have an opinion for me. I would appreciate it. I like this forum and hope to be around here a while. Thanks.

If you are wanting to run adult with a 2k/month budget I would suggest going for the less competitive geos and traffic sources, e.g. JuicyAds, ZeroPark, small media buys, etc. Or perhaps lesser known/used ad placements and types in Exo?

I don't do adult but the general consensus I have picked up is that:

1. Adult is brutally competitive. Adult desktop traffic = ripping central. No lander/banner is safe.
2. TJ and Exo are extremely competitive self-serve sources, TJ especially.
3. You really need some advantage e.g. higher payouts, exclusive offers, high volume leverage to get the former two, or amazing landers, ads and angles that are blessed by the gods and unrippable.
4. It is wise to focus on non-English countries if you don't want to compete with many people with more like 200k+/month budgets.

You can certainly make TJ and Exo work but I wouldn't focus on them alone with 2k/month, at least not in countries people tend to focus on. Even if you found a working campaign, without funds to scale you won't be able to milk it and in the shark-eat-shark world of adult you will get it ripped and then someone will milk it for you...

Just my thoughts!

P.S. Finch has done some great posts on Adult particularly Juicy Ads - http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...able-Campaigns, http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...lacement-Types, http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...ys-on-JuicyAds

Thanks Zeno, I had a feeling it was like this. With $10K/mo a person could tweak and test and scale nut $2K, not so. I'll find my way. I just don't want to let my new CPA networks down and most have dating as their main offer.
