stackers im so close! I’ve been promoting adult for 2-3 months now & breaking even the last few weeks.
Im running in US on Traffic junky (yea yea i know lol)..
I have a good funnel (ads, landers etc.)
But i don’t know where to go from here. And i don’t know why i kept breaking even.
First I tried running on the competitive spots (Vid A&B) and was getting raped cause the bids were too high for me to test my campaign on a small budget.
Then my stupid newbie ass woke up & I started looking for cheaper spots but still in US.
The problem with the cheap spots was that i was only breaking even.
because there wasn’t too much volume & it took me too long to optimize.
Sooo what should i do now? ($1000 budget for the month)
1. Stay with TJ? (keep tweaking the campaign till its higher ROI)
2. I was thinking of going to JuicyAds & running a RON campaign. Maybe i can find a gem in there.
3. ExO? or other traffic source?
4. Run in a Tier 2 country? on TJ
One thing I’m not sure of is that if those smaller spots are profitable but not by much…
Should i have like 5 campaigns running on each spot (all making $5-$10 a day) competing with myself? And then multiply that
I don’t know what a money making campaign looks like. thats why I’m asking
thank you in advance
Jumping in to stay subbed. Looking forward to the replies & your progress.
Ask for a quality check / pay bump? Check the same offer over multiple networks, some convert higher than others. Ask for weekly payouts
I'd stay with TJ, you're already familiar with it and what works. Exo has a lot of place, with different bids and you'll have to spend to learn it. Try a different language/geo on the same placement, you can find cheap translators at: fiverr.com
You have to filter like crazy on JuicyAds RON, I have over 800+ blocked and quality can an issue. Buying directly can be great, but you can't GEO filter and the best places are already taken and can be bid up quickly.
If you are breaking even with US on TJ you are in a great position! It's all free data now. Keep that traffic flowing, and tweak every part of your funnel, lander, pushing for higher payouts, rotating offers. Use it as a breading ground so you can push once again to the vid a/b spots.
I would definitely upload your campaign to Exo and give it a shot. It will take you 5 mins of work to know where you stand with Exo US. That goes the same with trying another country, keep to English countries. I would basically pump out as many tests I could do that take up the least amount of time possible.
first do you get cheap clicks? What is your CTR/CPC? I am not running adult, but I am sure guys will tell you if you must approve that metrics or they are good enough,
After that
I would say stop testing the small things, focus on testing things that are enough different from what you did so far,
Means try new tests, if you already tried 7 call to action, unless you have some really different idea for it, then stop testing it, that way you will stop waisting time on unproductive testing
so it leaves you with new traffic source(same funnel as now), different network, different language, ask for a bump, stay with same placements and spy competitors(try doing what they are doing, stay with same placements), cut poor results sites...
When you do all of the above, go get a drink, you we'll deserve it...
By the way great thread! Really smart use of that forum..
^^ exactly what I had in mind. I'm getting around 0.03-0.05 per click & still breaking even after optimization & heck there are so many variables in adult I'm not sure what to do further. So I'd love to know how much cpc are you paying @johhny
Im having 250-300 percent roi on pornhub and xhamster with the same campaign and paying 0.21ct per click.. by being one of the highest bidders. The Cpc only doesnt matter. What matters is the combination of cpc ctr and conversion rate

Just a quick tip, keep in mind guys that on adult higher cpc / cpm sometimes means fresher / higher quality traffic.
I always look at EPC vs CPC instead of minor metrics like LP CTR / banner CTR etc.
Ok sorry for the wait guys.. but here are the results from the weekend (fri-sun) my 5 lessons i learned & my questions at the end of this post
tested 4 ad spots on 4 different sites, Same funnel for all of them. 2 spots were junk so i killed them, but heres the results from the winners
1st spot - 496.33% ROI
2nd spot - 65.84% ROI
it was the weekend tho so im not getting too excited lol but im happy i finally got in the green.
So heres the breakdown & what ive learned & where i need more help
1. I changed my offer (i was forced to & good thing i did)
It was an accident but turns out that the new offer actually works better with my funnel. (or maybe my old offer was getting scrubbbed :/)
My ads match my lander & the offer much better. Looking back now, i prob had ALOT of campaigns that could have been profitable but i was blind.
My marketing message was weak!
PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY READING THE TEXT IN YOUR ADS & LANDERS (message to myself)
2. Focus on whats working & make it better:
I launched 4 campaigns but only 2 were actually responsive from the start. So instead of trying to make the 2 weak ones better, I worked on the ones that were already showing life.
i cut the weak ones after the first day & just studied the ones that were working. Theres so many variables that you can tweak that make a huge difference & 4 campaigns running were too much for me.
geos, bids, impression caps, ads, landers, offer, ad spot, ad sizes fugedaboutit! lol
3. Its all about the funnel/formula
When i look at my ads & landers now I can see why the new offer works better, it just all makes sense now.
Thats why just ripping someones ad or lander wont give you a winning campaign. If you dont have the complete formula.. its no good
4. AD spots matter
I launched 4 campaigns, i used the same ads on all of them. But they performed differently on each of them.
Some worked better when i matched the ad to the site (made it blend in) Some spots did better when my ads stuck out (high contrasting ads)
Also some sites dont convert as well as others. even with high CTR
5. Everything can be optimized
I tweaked everything : impression caps, Geos, Day Parting, Keyword Targets. And every variable is different for each spot.
So thats why i stuck with only a few placements, theres enough traffic if your set up right.
Looking back it was all a matter of testing, my sales funnel evolved into what it is now. And now i just add different angles or change pics.
with All this said i didnt know as much as i know now, so if i would have spent more money earlier it doesnt mean i would have learned all this before. Guess it takes time
Stuff i still dont know:
1. Is it even worth it to run on weekdays (mon-fri)? or should i just stick to weekends
its just such a big difference in conversions for me, so i was thinking about just hitting weekends
2. Can i just increase the budget on a campaign to make more money?
Ive tried that in the past & it didnt always scale? i will boost it up again this weekend.
otherwise am I stuck looking for small profit spots? and just having like 20-50 campaigns running?
