CTR goals (3)
Hey stackers,
I've been doing a lot of testing on my 320x50 banners, trying to maximise the shit out of CTR. More than anything, I've found that an otherwise well-converting mobile campaign will remain in the red without a really good CTR. Without this, I'm unable to target and keep much volume.
I'd be interested to know if anyone has some sort of baseline or goal CTR that they work towards?

That question's impossible to answer.
What if I said "Yea my CTR goal is 2%?"
That could be amazing on Airpush, horrible in India, horrible on 320x50, etc.
I setup a system for testing the ads and I'm trying to beat the CTR of my existing ads.
CTR Isn't everything because the image could have an amazing CTR, but what if it just doesn't convert? You need a balance.
Get CTR by using different "tricks" - animation, borders, call out the demographic, etc.

It is pretty hard question to answer.
The more specific you are about what you are targeting the more helpful we can be.
Are you running RTB? What countries/country? Apps? Sites? Wifi? Carrier?
Everyone has their own strategies, and as long as they make money then they are good strategies. When bidding CPM, I'm all about CTR too.
