Hey guys,
I'm going to start promoting a mobile offer in Brazil, maybe through Decisive, and I find it kind of odd that most of the ads I see for app installs run direct with no landers. Maybe because there's excellent feedback and great screenshots on their google play page. But I would like to ask you guys on this:
- I know landers generally increase ROI, would you recommend it for app installs too? (consider a game install)
Thank you!
Like you have seen you can be profitable with DL and landers when promoting.
Landers can have a positive and negative effect, there is a general rule it will increase ROI. The more you test the higher chance you give yourself getting that higher ROI.
Personally I run DL as well as landers.
First thing, the DLs you see might be the networks running internally or advertiser himself.
They focus more on volume than squeezing a bit of extra ROI.
In my experience landers generally do better but it's not set in stone.
As always, test and let the data make the decision.
I generally direct link game app installs and use a lander on other types of apps.
80% DL, mostly for games that comply with general ASO rules (= good store page) and have good rating + feedback.
20% additional lander, mainly for utility apps (if allowed by advertiser), or in case the store page really s**ks.
As mentioned split test both lander and DL.
As a rule of thumb, the landers are to increase conversions, but it will only increase conversions if your lander is GOOD or is a different angle used to sell the offer.
IF you're direct linking, then make sure you "sell" the app in the banner since they'll be taken directly to the offer after they click.
