Please critique my plan

I've spent a ton of time reading (including Zeno's awesome FB guide) and now I need to actually ACT and see what works and what doesn't. I'd love any feedback on my planned steps below.

Also, any thoughts/recommendations regarding offer networks such as CJ and ShareASale? I've had accounts with them for ages and I'm still waiting to be approved on the networks recommended in the getting started guide, plus I found several similar offers that I could test against.

I'm planning on going with Facebook for traffic since my day job has me running ads on there and I'm familiar with the system. Direct link to start simply.

1. Create a new Facebook account to run ads.
2. Create 3x Ad Sets with 3 identical ads in each set, the variable across sets will be the image. Set P202 redirect URL direct to offer until approved, then switch to affiliate link.
3. Start with high budget in the first hour of the day, midway through the day turn off the lowest performers in each ad set.
4. After sufficient data (10x EPC?), determine top performing image across ad sets, disable lowest performers.
5. Create new challengers to top performer. Repeat steps 3 & 4.
6. Once I have top performing images determined, experiment with headline/copy following steps 2-5.
7. Keep analyzing demographic and interest targeting along with effective images to better fine-tune campaigns.
8. Assuming EPC>CPC, incrementally increase budget.
9. Continue repeating steps 3-8.
10. Buy the underwater camera I want with my earnings

What am I missing? I've been reading on here since I joined and feel like that's a gross oversimplification of everything I've read. I know there's a bit of technical in terms of P202 setup, tracking, and redirects, but I have that all in place already.

Thanks for any critiques!

Don't forget about landing pages - you'll definitely want to add them into the mix too!

I was planning on going with direct link instead of landing pages to start off with. Is that a big no-no? I was just trying to reduce variables as much as possible when starting out.

It depends on what offer you are running. Some generally need landers to do well.
