I'm a bit confused: the affexpert tool preview for lead impact is smaller than 800x600, which is the the size stated on lead impact's website. I'm not sure what the "true" size is or what im missing here. Any help on this? Thanks
Go with 750*400px for the REAL canvas, meaning use that space to place your geo scripts and graphics. The size you see on LI is including the toolbars and statusbars as well. Read this and you should be fine http://insideaffiliate.net/size-matt...ge-dimensions/
The have 800x600 on their site but that's not true.
The address bar at the top and the bar at the bottom of the pop eat some space.
The affexpert popup preview tool is a pretty accurate measure of what you will really get.
LeadImpact pops have toolsbars on the top in addition to the normal window stuff (address bar, menu, etc) so it's got a lot less real estate than a full sized 800x600 pop would. If you run an 800x600 pop your lp is going to be larger than the viewable area and you'll end up with scroll bars.
ugh no wonder some of my LPs havent been performing as expected.. thanks guys for clearing that up. Is it safe to say 750x400 is a safe number to go with? Or are there more potential bars that users might have that I should account for in variation in size?
Yeah that's a good approximation of what you will generally get.
To avoid the hassle just use Affexpert's Popup Preview Tool.
755*4000 maybe in fact
I ran into another question regarding the pop-up as its hard for me to actually test it. When a user clicks a link on my LP in the popup window, will it open the new page in the original browser window or reload inside the pop-up? For the affexpert tool it will reload inside the popup. This is undesirable since the offer is much larger than 750px. I'm kicking myself for not checking on such technical details regarding how the ad will really show up to the user.
