So I just picked up the new CPVlab and have moved into adult mobile marketing. I use some traffic sources that are unable to filter traffic by carrier, which leaves me with a mix of wifi and 3g traffic.
I would like to send my 3g traffic to any applicable one click flow offers while sending my wifi traffic elsewhere. I can see that some options are available under the "redirection profiles" but I am unsure how to proceed. There is no "wifi" option under carriers, and all it gives me is a list of US mobile carriers.
Has anyone done this before who can lend a hand?
I haven't done this before with CPVLab - I know it's doable with the STM tracker, and I'm sure it must be doable with CPVLab.
I'll keep an eye on this thread - if you don't get any replies from people with more CPVLab experience in a day or so I'll go and spend some time experimenting with CPVLab setup and let you know if I figure it out.
Thanks caurmen!
I think I may have found a solution to this.. in case any other readers need the answer. If you capture carrier data for a day or two on your cpvlab campaign, you'll get a big list of carriers. You can then copy and paste the exact carrier names of those you want to redirect to the 3g/oneclickflow offers.
So basically, buy some data and then set up the redirection. Because these carrier names don't come in by default
Does anyone have any further info regarding the carrier/ISP listings in CPVLab?
Last I checked it seemed like there was a paltry list in the redirection rules but I am unsure if this was due to lack of supplementary Maxmind/WURFL databases.
@knomad - aha, that makes sense. That's the same way a lot of trackers work - getting carrier names from incoming traffic.
