CJ.com vs tracking vs PPV
Hi guys,
I've been having some success running some local offers from CJ.com, but they are having problem with my traffic source (ZeroPark) + tracking (CPV Lab) as in the agreement they not allow anything of these.
They was investigating my account and this is the reply I got from them:
Thank you on your response. Please note that we do not allow PPV as promotional methods so please discontinue your traffic from this source at your earliest convenience. Also, per our PSA you agreed to follow, you are not allowed to use tracking software to mask origin of your traffic. Please let us know
I'm quite not sure what to do next - just let it be or find some other workaround/traffic source.
Does anyone of you use CJ.com (haha yes, in 2014 they still work and it's possible to get some nice ROIs there) and had problems like this?
Thanks.

CJ is definitely much more of a "clean" network, and they work with a lot of major brands.
Generally speaking, PPV is not considered "clean" traffic, both because 1) PPV is reliant upon adware and because 2) PPV often results in advertisers paying for conversion that they would have gotten anyways. I would suggest that you find other traffic sources.
CJ is part of a publicly listed company (Conversant, formerly Valuclick), many of their clients are listed as well, and
they will not hesitate to take retroactive legal action or even call in the FBI in order to recover any commission paid to you for breaking their T&Cs on a large scale. They even (along with eBay and Ben Edelman) have had people sent to jail

Thanks for reply @cmdeal. It's kinda interesting. I'm working with a local network which unfortunately plugs all their campaigns into CJ. My AM is also happy with the results, but as CJ is controlling it, I think I just have to follow their rules.

In this case, I would suggest you follow up on cmdeal's latter point - skip CJ and run direct if the ZeroPark traffic is working well for the advertiser.
But yeah, if you look at the clients CJ works with it's pretty clear you don't want to rock the boat. Play it safe.
