Do you guys split test multiple networks in the beginning or after optimizing some angles, placements etc.?
I have been split testing multiple networks from the beginning and now I think I'm going to change to split testing them after I find some winning placements. The reason being, I don't want it to skew my placement results. What do you guys think? Thanks!
I'm not really sure if there's a correct way, i think it's personal.
Usually i'll go with 1 offer from a network i trust, and then if needed i'll split test the offer with another network.
I usually go with 1 offer from 1 network. Then optimize other things like adcopy/landing page.
Once, campaign is going good. I split test offer at last. But this doesn't mean, i go with shitty offer in beginning.
Thanks guys. You guys are confirming what I was already suspecting I should be doing. Start with a proven offer from a network I trust and after other things are optimized, split test different networks. Love this forum.
Interesting - personally, I split-test right from the start. My feeling is that it's a good way to get a sense of whether the ANGLE works, as opposed to whether Specific Offer A works.
However, as Stackman says, it's very hard to know which approach is better, per se.
If cashflow isn't a concern I would split test networks. If it is, go with a trusted one - or split test initially and quickly converge on your choice.
