Sudden decrease of CTR of Ads and Landing Pages

Hi all,
I've been split testing three headlines for like a week now and the last three days have been terrible. The CTR of my ads decreased extremely and later my landing pages as well (from about 30% dropped to 10%). And I don't know why! Two of the landing pages that I tested were actually good performing. I was pretty sure that I'm on the right track and suddenly this drop...
Conversions stopped coming in as well. What could have happened?

Thanks!

Traffic source?

Did you change anything e.g. campaign bids, budgets? Any indicators from the traffic source on your bidding position i.e. % wins of impressions? Has the actual traffic volume changed?

I didn't reach my daily budget at TrafficJunky so I increased to bid from $0.39 to $0.41. I still don't reach that amount...

Have you check the placement where your ads are shown to see if anything has changed? Is your traffic make up in terms of geo still the same?

I changed nothing except the bid. I decreased it to the old value again. Hopefully it comes to its olds again.

Okay:
The landing page ctr came back to normal again yesterday BUT I spent only $7 and got only 43 visitors. I used to get 140 visitors daily with the old bid. That doesn't make sense for me. I thought that a higher bid = better quality traffic/fresh traffic. Instead, the lower quality traffic performs better than the high quality traffic.

Was there a national holiday, political event, or other major upset in the geo you're advertising to? Week-long perturbations like this can be down to something like that.

Hmm, I'm targeting Germany and there's nothing special at the moment except two weeks vacation from school for students.
I don't think it's due to that though as this strange phenomenon started before. I'm in the adult niche by the way.
I still don't spend the $50 daily, I want to. Today I spent so far only $10!! At least I got two conversions that put me almost breaking even... Maybe I should try other placements or websites...

Are you being out-competed? Being pushed down the hierarchy may explain it especially if your ads have been swiped.

Is it on TJ that can you see your bidder position?

Hmm. I just checked it and I'm #6 and get 2.9% of the traffic.

Do you know what you were beforehand? Could be that you've been muscled out. Can you spy and see if someone is running your ads but outbidding you?

No, unfortunately not. But so far the stats look as before again (yesterday). I also increased my bid again to see the behavior of my traffic.
I refreshed the website many times and it looks like nobody's using my ad. I'll report tomorrow again how the day was today.

I think increasing my bid was a good choice. The ctr of my ad exploded!
