... I'm putting it out there. Has anyone here own their own pin submit / content billing offer?
Here's some questions I'd like to get answers to.
1. How do they monetize pin submits?
2. How long does a pin submit subscriber remain a recurring customer?
3. What % of customers that sign up on a pin submit cancel right away?
4. So WTF do content billing offers give the person anyway? In my experience a big nothing, or access to some totally shitty site with shitty wallpapers, crappy ringtones, and nothing special.
5. Do these pin submit content billing offers capitalize on people who never-ever check their cell phone bills? (ie: MY WIFE?) They just pay whatever it says??
That's about it for now, if you have any more questions feel free to add to my thread, lets brainstorm!
I don't own one but I'm working very closely with a company that does have several pin submits.
1. They monetize by charging the users the subscription fee plus they broadcast other offers to the numbers collected (even to the people who didn't complete the flow)
2. That depends very much on the way the offer is being promoted (non deceptive campaigns will have a much higher retention rate)
3. More than 50% - 60% (again, this will greatly vary)
4. Some offers have more valuable content than others, but more or less nothing as you said
5. Yes
Hope that helps,
Paul
So... if one were to create a PIN Submit with outrageous value, and be straight up with
the costs... they should do well in the long run. Or is that a wrong assumption?
The other thing I hear about those kind of offers is the carriers and companies who deal with the billing pay something like net 90-180 so it's tough on cash flow.

what percentage would the offer owner get? anyone have links to companies that would handle billing for me on an android app. i've all the apps and they're very popular, but google don't like them and seize my IAP revenue. they've seized €6k belonging to me. i've been looking at amazon IAP and paypal (lol) but with my demographics (of fucking idiot teens), SMS billins would definitely be the best.
