Hey everyone,
I've been dealing with Facebook for a few months now, and mostly gaming. I have seen a few advertisers create fan pages, to create ads in the newsfeed. My question to you, should I create a random gaming fan page myself? Target the audience to the fan page, and advertise from there, or is that not the best method of getting conversion? I'm mostly dealing with MMORPG.
Another question I have is targeting audiences with software like Facesniper. It's a pretty good deal for $97 (lifetime), but I hear Facebook is getting rid of targeting custom audiences with user ids. Is that true? Also, has anyone used Facesniper, or anything similar? Do you recommend it?
I hope my questions made sense.
Thank you in advance
Sure - make a fan page - get some news feed action going. It's a common if not unavoidable approach.
As for Facesniper - seems like just another Open Graph scraper. They can be useful albeit don't rely on them too much.
FB getting rid of custom audience targeting through user ids? First I've heard of it. Wouldn't surprise me much though since website custom audiences are here and the purpose of custom audiences was originally for businesses with email/phone lists to retarget on FB.
If they take away UID audiences (specifically exclusion), we'll all appear on SocialAdNinja again
I can see why they'd take it away though, it's too easy to circumvent their targeting rules (religion, gambling etc.)
Yes, this method will soon be banned. Don't reply on it.
