I believe we've got quite a few Brazilian Ju Jitsu (BJJ) enthusiasts - and even some pros - here on STM!
(I've studied Japanese Ju-Jitsu in the past, but not BJJ: my interests are more in striking and weapon arts than grappling, although I know the basics. However, when in Brazil - I'll definitely be looking to take a couple of classes whilst I'm there.)

Cool!! I've been doing it for quite a while (purple belt) but haven't trained in Brazil yet (broken toe last time I went) - should be a great experience...

You can train at the original Gracie school at Humaita. Royler Gracie still runs it. It's been a few years since I was there but it was a blast. Did a few privates and a few classes as well. Definitely worth a visit even if just to see some of the photo history lining the walls.
