Scrubbing or glitch?

*EDITED*:

I originally posted a question wondering if my leads were getting scrubbed, after talking with several people at the company (A4D) and examining my own tracking stats closer, my leads were in fact NOT getting scrubbed, and it was due to a timezone issue with the CAKE software pulling stats from the day before.

So that this thread remains relevant, If you experience something like in the screenshots below using the CAKE platform, its probably due to a timezone issue.

Not cool at all. Scrubbing usually happens before you even see the stats, i.e. the conversions never show, at least to the best of my knowledge.

Having clicks and conversions removed like that is absolutely ridiculous - not only is it disingenuous but it messes with your tracking. No one touches thy data!

As far as I can imagine there is no legitimate reason an AM should have for removing click data.

I would get on the phone with the network or your AM and be rightfully a bit furious. Well, perhaps talk to your AM first and raise the issue before calling.

Keep us updated, am interested to know what's going on here.

Hmm it is strange. Like zeno says normal the tricks are pulled before you even see the stats.

Did you ask your AM about it? What's the network?

Even though it is strange, you are working with a very small amount of clicks. I would try running traffic again just incase it was a glitch like you mentioned.

Is there any time-zone mix-up going on?

If its scrubbing they are being so blatant they are insulting your intelligence. Cake has 50 diff ways to fuck you with built in throttling. They may also be doing real time audits of your leads for quality. Are they simple email submit or non credit card auth leads?

I have had issues with people in the past bombing my affiliate links with bullshit info leads trying to get me suspended.

Contact Smaxor on the forums, he runs the show, he will sort you out. I'm sure there is no foul play.

A4D wouldn't do anything like that , especially on a 30 clicks campaign. I guess it is a glitch or something.

I think it might be timezone glitch.

This^^^

I've had guys even place my links in hacked sites, dirty traffic, shit leads etc just to get me suspended. I remember one case on pof where I was pushing bbw with adsimilis and started having a ton of bad registrations. Turns out the banners I was using was doing well for another pub. Regardless, I can put my neck in a guillotine for the Smaxor and A4D and I don't even run their offers anymore. Stand-up people. Work it out.

Scrubbing for bad leads shouldn't lead to removal of click data, at least that's one thing we should agree on (viz. there should be removal of leads, not clicks).

Hope this gets resolved - as people have said, A4D has a superb reputation so it would surprising if there was any foul play here.

So I just got off a long conversation with Jason Akatiff (A4D owner) and my AM about the click issues, I want to give you all an update on what happened. Basically, CAKE reports in EST time regardless of what the settings in the front-end or in the account settings say. This is where 99% of the issues came from, the other 1% that still is mysterious to me I am attributing to just an odd glitch, because I've lost all suspicions at this point after talking with them for the last 30 min.

And I tracked down the 1 lead that disappeared in my stats, and it was never tracked in my tracking software, which makes it pretty obvious that that lead was getting pulled from the day before.

Having said that, I want to say that the people at A4D are honestly some of the most genuine people I've ever spoken to. Very Quality network. Highly recommended.

Cool. Weird how this was a timezone issue though - usually I see the day change over and a single refresh switches all the stats - rather than clicks dropping 30 > 8 > 3.

I think few of the networks on cake have this bug. Whatever timezone you select wont apply and it would be est. I was very sure of the timezone glitch.
