Account Bumped from 500 to 5k, Traffic Throttled (26)

Something very strange just happened. I have a personal fb acc that I ran like 250 maxed out, billing threshold increased to 500

Spend 500 and then it increased to 750

Then from 750 it went straight to 5000. Wtf??

My traffic just slowed down from 400 hits an hour to about 100. Not sure what's going on. The traffic is running but it's not matching my campaign budget (400 remaining today for only a few hours which should be like 1k hits per hour minimum)

What is happening? Am I about to get ban hammered? Should I pause my cloaker and campaign?

The spend increase is normal. I will let someone else answer the rest but did you try remaking the ads?

Yes it is normal to jump like that. I am not experienced enough to answer the rest especially without more information of what you have done. Changing your daily limit at the wrong time of day can screw things up though.

I have a bunch of personals that are 1.5k and 5k thresholds. Takes a little bit but if you have legitimate stuff to promote they will bump you eventually.

Shouldn't be too hard then... If it's anything like the other bumps they do it after several payments at the current threshold.

Correct I have had accounts hit 1.5k like clockwork after 5 days of max spend on whitehat ads. The bump to 5k seems to be a bit more random.

The only benefit I see left with agency accounts is the fact you can pretty much add any card/name you want and also agency accounts have no lead time. Having to age the personal accounts does add some extra work to the mix. That being said I prefer the lead time and redbox risk to the exorbitant prices and risk of getting scammed that agency accounts pose.

Like anything else the STM members that work in an organized and methodical manner will reap the rewards of cheap accounts.

At the moment they increase even when you're spending $200 or $300 (for a $500 account). If you buy/run $500 agencies you could make some nice extra coin selling bumped 5k accounts :-)

exact same thing happened to me. 750 threshold than it got it bumped to 5k and everything went to shit. traffic not coming in. I have been trying out bing so haven't run many camps in a couple days but a little test showed things might be back to normal (minus shite traffic, higher cpc etc etc lol) will see tommorow.

is your account back to normal as far as cpc/ctr/conversions too?

You can still spend upwards of 2k on 750 threshold accounts. They just charge your card multiple times a day.

Dude, the problem with bumping is. When your account gets bumped. They all are manually reviewed. Untill they are reviewed FB puts them in sandbox to minimize risk.

Reason: Bad guys trying to use Facebook to spread malwares. So FB have tons of secruity measure in place to avoid such incidents. If you are cloaking and your ads look deceptive , kiss goodbye to your account.

I got my account bump from 250 limited to 5000 daily limit a couple of weeks ago, it was weird also

I concur with David , I got a 5k bump. the acct started acting weird / 10% of daily budget spent , weird traffic coming through etc etc. the account went back to normal on monday, that night got ban ham ! Must have gone to manual review , but was in a sandbox zone till it happened.

I can assure you that this is 100% true. I doing tons of accounts with exact behaviour. Also, i have background in IT security. Tons of malware is being spread using Facebook ads. The ROI of those criminals is much more than ours. So its very lucaritve business for them..

1 Bank account hacked and 500-700K gone.

How do you combat it?

Just use Noscript extension. Keep you softwares updated. Don't download anything from untrusted sources.

The best antivirus out there is the common sense of the user.

Also, NoScript IMO is one of the best browser plugins every crafted. Frankly, since most people will get malware from the web in some way, it is equally if not more useful than antivirus software. Prevention >> cure.

Haha no I meant how do you stop get around the manual reviews at 5k? Run clean until its bumped?
