I'm a bit confused here.
I set up a campaign with a hyper targeted audience. Took me like 30 minutes to tweak it. Finally I was ready, so I downloaded the campaign to power editor. Then it all disappeared.
What does the "Download To Power Editor" function do? I get the upload feature, but the "Download" feature baffles me?
Upload = send the changes you have made to Facebook.
Download = sync your power editor with your Facebook account, which clears any changes you have made.
So, you log in, download from Facebook to sync everything, then make changes and hit upload to set them live.
You want to download to sync with fb whenever you go to power editor and start working
this brings all your campaign info / ads etc into power editor so you can work on the most updated setup. than you upload those changes back to facebook.
Yes, download every time you first open the power editor. Otherwise you have no idea whether campaigns are active/inactive or have their stats. Are you checking stats elsewhere?
The power editor for sure is mainly useful for bulk uploading and ad creation but the last thing you want to do is upload changes without even knowing the status quo.
Ooooh I see now.
Geez, why don't they make it auto download stuff from FB? That's just so retarded.
I guess so you can make changes, close (even accidentally) the browser and then reopen it without losing everything.
Imagine if you spent 30 minutes tweaking dozens of campaigns, duping ads and sets, etc. and then your computer crashed... you reboot and reload power editor and are like no no No NOOOOO as you watch it download and overwrite all your changes!
