Hi,
I setup a Facebook Ad where I target "Clicks To Website" and "Website Conversion". I then added the landing page I want to redirect users too.
However, when I view the "News Feed" and "Right Column" Preview ads I see that it just redirects to my Facebook page instead.
Why doesn't it redirect me to the landing page that I set up for this ad?
I see there is an option to "Turn Off News Feeds Ads" because it only allows me to select my Facebook page. I tried to see if I could add my landing page, but it didn't let me under this section.
Do I have to turn off news feeds ads to have it redirect to my landing page properly?
I really don't want to turn these off but I also don't want it to just redirect to my Facebook page again.
Thank you!
I think you may have things a bit mixed up here.
If you can see a news feed AND right column preview it means you are likely using an ad type that does NOT link to an external site. The only type of ad that links externally that is in both the newsfeed and sidebar is a sponsored page post link.
I'm assuming you are seeing something like this:

Note that you can select page post linked to your website OR domain advert. Not both. You likely put in a landing page URL but then changed the ad type completely, so your domain URL became irrelevant.
Thank you for the reply!
Yes, I remember seeing this setting and I selected the "News Feed" option because I wanted to show the ad there too.
So if I select "Domain Advert" then my ad will only show on the "Right column" and it won't be shown in the "News Feed" but it is the only way to link to a landing page?
Thank you!
Correct. Only the domain advert lets you link directly to an offsite URL.
You can of course use fanpage tabs and page link posts but these stem from a FB page.
