improving on mobile landers

hi! i've come to the point where i've created my mobile lander. i'm no experting in coding(i only know how to copy/modify parameters) but would really want to improve on my landing page. i've tested it on www.webpagetest.org and i got some stats

loadtime 2.451s
firstbye 0.576s
start render 1.151s
DOM elements 78
requests 11
bytes 59kb

base on my understanding, 2.45secs is not acceptable. what are the ways i can possibly improve my site design to improve my loading timing?
thanks!

Yep 2.5secs is way to long, try to get it under 1sec.

If you got photoshop try load all the images in then save each one under 'ready for web' then try to drop the file size for each one without losing to much quality.

If you go to Google page speed test and run it, it will give you some clues on how you can drop the loadtimes.

your site is only 59kb big but it takes 2.45s to load. Where is it hosted?

i use the recommended beyond host. tested 2 asian servers and 1 us servers results are all above 2seconds.
do i have to use a CDN? given the rate of the loading of a 59kb file, i have to get its size down to 20ish kb. is that even feasible?

Let me know what the results are from pingdom please.

it reads 89/100 perf grade. 8 request, 1.19s load time 57.9kb page size

Test it a few times in a row then show us the waterfall load graph.

For 60 KB you should be able to hit something like 10-500 ms easily... from the Pingdom test server at least.

after a couple of tests it's now fallen to 200-400ms range. so i guess that should be OK?
thanks for the help guys!

Bear in mind that if you're advertising in Asia but hosting in the US your lander will take longer to load because of the distance. You may want to consider getting a VPS in Singapore or similar if you're planning on doing a lot of Asian campaigns, particularly in Mobile.

@caurmen: do you have any recommendedations for that?

also thanks for your help guys!

@supeyrio AWS has a Singapore location, could use that.

DigitalOcean also has Singapore, as does Rackspace I believe, Edis and Linode have Japan. VPS.net probably has Asian locations as well.
