Is Facebook advertising the main revenue driver?

Hi,

Quick question, it seems a lot of talk on here revolves around Facebook (nothing wrong with that) I just want to understand why Facebook advertising is so good for affiliate marketing?

I assume its two things, the ability to go deep into types of demographics combined with the large user base making it possible to still drive large traffic volumes when targeting specific demographics?

Does FB allow aff links in adverts? And I suppose also are merchants ok with affiliates driving traffic directly from FB?

Thanks.

You're absolutely right: the targeting combined with the volume is what makes FB killer.

Running affiliate offers on FB can be a little ... exciting, but it's doable if you stick to clean verticals.

Yep, targeting + volume + good quality = staple of the affiliate diet.

You can peddle affiliate links on FB, but they run a tight ship these days.

If it's shady, and you have doubts about it, then FB is a brick wall.

The strict guidelines are part of the reason why affiliates who do get their ads on there make such good $$$. Aggressive direct response sticks out like a sore thumb from the thousands of brand advertisers.
