CPV labs loading slow?
I was wondering if this is a common issue with CPVlabs. I have had it installed for just over a month now, and lately when pulling up my stats the page is taking a long time to load. no issues with landers or tracking redirects, they all seem to be running just fine. its only when I log in and pull up my stats that can take ~~30 seconds to a minute to load.
I take it this is a database issue? I am running a basic LAMP setup
Thank You

seems like you have a lot of stats
must be mysql which have too many rows to process
you could try to delete some logs you dont need and clean up DB, should be faster then

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it.
I'd rather keep my data and not delete anything. im sure there is another way around this without having to delete data

Did you set up True Cache yet?

It's normal practice to clean the DB - but you can of course dump it all to a backup first. Retaining all the data indefinitely in a single tracking database is not advisable.

cheers for the reply.
alright I can understand that, but one question I have is how often do the much bigger affiliates dump their database? as a small affiliate such as myself, would this be something I would have to do every month?

I don't think it has anything to do with having a lot of stats or not. I used to use CPVLab and it was extremely slow every time, even after I cleaned up my stats, cleared my DB, etc. I switched to Voluum and haven't had any other issues. Switching from CPVLab was one of the best decisions ever.

When I was using CPV Lab, I had to dump my data every 3-4 days. Its just not designed to handle large amount of data.

really? that surprises me. you'd think they would design it so.. that wouldn't be an issue.
I'm surprised this is also the first time ive heard of this.

Hey angry old lady. I am also having the same issue. My cpv lab takes ages to load. How do you test the landers or tracking redirects speed?
My server spec:
CPU: Xeon Quad Core 3.1GHz
Drive: SSD
OS: Linux
Bandwidth: 5TB Outbound
RAM: 24 GB DDR3 SDRAM
Litespeed Web Server

haha well, I just opened a test link that I would normally put from the banner.
opening my stats takes ages (literally up to 1 minute sometimes) but tracking from banner to lander to offer seems just fine

Turn on True-Cache, it will aggregate all your click data. Your stats page take forever to load because its loading up millions of non aggregate click data.

lol. actually yeah I an wondering the same thing. thought I could just google it or look in the user manual, and well... can't find it. the user manual just states true-cache as a new feature, but not how to turn it on. google isn't much help either

im not too sure. I can't seem to find much info on the net.
backing up the database gives me this:
a few days ago I turned on the feature to collect mobile data in the "edit campaign" window which resulted anyone clicking on one of my banners in just that campaign would get the same error. glad I caught that one quick.
hmm.. wondering what I should do here. thinking I should give the fellah who configured my server a shout and see if he can find a solution, although he knows absolutely noting about CPVlabs or what it does. from the posts so far, the slow loading stats is obviously a database issue, which I know jack shit about. the other issues such as getting a server error when trying to backup the database or when clicking on the feature to collect mobile data I should probably open a ticket with CPVlabs.
im using euroVPS btw. unmanaged VPS. maybe I shoudl switch to managed?
https://www.eurovps.com/services/support
$25/month MySql DB tweaking.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff
Thank you for everyone's help so far

Go for some support first and see if they can help. 25 Euro a month isn't much if you just use them for one month and get them to help with this.
The database backup problem could stem from all manner of configuration issues. Same with the mobile tracking stuff. Have you installed the appropriate databases for mobile tracking? Are they included? AFAIK CPV Lab does need something like WURFL but doesn't provide much instruction on getting this sorted.
