Having Huge Clickloss and Postback Url Not Working

I am having a major problem with clickloss and conversion showing up in my CPVLab for my mobile campaigns.

1. Clickloss: I use CPVLab and I see a discrepancy of 12% on average from clicks shown in trafficjunky and what I see in CPVLab.
2. The number of clicks to landing pages I see in CPVLab differs by 15-32% from what Clickdealer shows in my dashboard.
3. My conversion is not showing for the campaigns I use postback url for. I currently have my postback url as http://mydomain/adclick.php?subid=#s2#
and use the affiliate link as http://cldlr.com/?a=xxxx&c=xxxx&s1=
4. I am planning on changing my tracking platform, should I use Voluum or Imobitrax?

How do I fix these issues pls?

Thanks.

I think if your subid is stored in the s2 variable you should do something like &s1=TJCampaign1&s2=

Hope it helps. PS: I dont know if cpvlab counts duplicate clicks.

It's your affiliate URL that needs to update - you are passing back the unique click ID to CPV Lab using #s2# (or ##s2##?). So, your affiliate link should look like this:

http://cldlr.com/?a=xxxx&c=xxxx&s1=MyCampaign&s2=

and your postback URL should look like this:

http://mydomain/adclick.php?subid=##s2##

ClickDealer appears to use Cake so it is ##s2##, not #s2#.

Thanks a lot Zeno. Do you have any recommendations about the huge clickloss am experiencing?

For your points specifically:

1. Is there any mobile traffic? Are you including duplicate IP clicks or just showing unique clicks? How fast is your tracking and is it hosted on a decent server?

2. I assume you mean the number of click-throughs differs from what ClickDealer shows. Again, look at the click report tab and see how many are from duplicate IPs. Ask your AM to see if there are many out-of-geo clicks.

If clicks are getting lost it's often due to a) slow tracking/redirects, b) reliance on cookies, c) out-of-geo restrictions.

Thanks Zeno for the support so far. This Campaign is completely for Mobile and I run the banners on the Mobile spot on TJ.

I just checked the clicks report and I saw the previous clicks didn't include duplicate clicks but after checking the duplicate clicks I still have a difference of 35% click loss. My stats for today are as follows:

1. No of Clicks shown in Traffic Junky: 712
2. No of Clicks shown in CPVLAB: 596
3. No of Clicks shown in Clickdealer: 384 (This no includes duplicate clicks)

Note: I am running the campaign direct to offer.

I just mailed my AM about the out-of-Geo clicks. My current setup is as follows:

1. I am currently using "Double Meta Refresh (hide)" Redirect option, should I use change this?

2. The campaign am running is in Australia and my server is based in the US could any of this be a reason?

3. I use Magemojo for my server hosting. The url for the tracking is 1trks.com, Is it too slow based on current load speed?

4. Also what is the clickloss percentage should I aim for?

I do appreciate your time and support. Thanks again.

1. Double meta refresh is a very bad option to use for mobile. Use a PHP redirect, often called a 301/302 redirect.

2. Yes. The latency from Australia to your US server, exacerbated by double refreshing is a terrible combination.

3. Never heard of Magemojo but why on earth are you using hosting geared towards e-commerce for a tracking system? Are you also running e-commerce sites on it? I would not combine the two. I can't check your load speed, you will have to do that yourself. Drop your tracking URL into e.g. the Pingdom page tester and see what happens (http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/)

4. Mobile click loss depends on the traffic source, tracking, affiliate networks tracking, etc. 35% is horrible, but expect 5-20%.

If I was you I would start using Voluum as they have a data centre in Sydney. Reconfigure your campaign to go through Voluum instead and see if it makes a difference. If it does you will at least know that it was your tracking that was the issue (it certainly isn't ideal as is)

Thanks a million Zeno! You simply rock.. Will implement the suggestions.

Just signed up for Voluum, will run and update you by the end of today. Thanks.
