Gone through all the pre-creative steps (competitor research, offer selection, angle creation, placement research, etc) and am ready to contract a designer to develop banners.
In your experience for an initial launch (campaign viability) on Traffic Junky, would you recommend animated GIFs, static banners or a mixture?
Price-wise, animated gifs are about 2x static and curious if it's worth it, at least initially.
THANK YOU!
gifs if the placement allows it
Most people say gifs. However, when I was doing TJ, most of my success came from static banners from the NTV placements where animations weren't allowed lol. I just used static banners to keep things super simple when starting out (less variables) and so I could iterate quicker. Also, I just sucked at animations/spent too much time on making them.
For placements that allow GIFs, I've always had better success with animated banners.
Just need to test enough till you find a good one.
