Facebook Mobile App Installs Ads
Hi guys,
is there any way I can promote mobile app via affiliate link with Facebook mobile ads for app installs? As far as I know you are only allowed to enter iTunes / Google Play URL there and if I wanna promote an app with my affiliate URL I need to use Clicks to Website ad product.
Is there any work-around for this?
Thanks!

Not really familiar with facebook that much but why don't you create click to website and put your affiliate URL, target it to mobile users only.
You don't need to use the mobile app option..

I'm ofc doing this, but dedicated mobile app install ad is slightly different and has higher CTRs.

In short, nope. Unpublished page link posts are the closest you're going to get.

its a good question, i was gonna post a same thread...
we can use mobile news feed to target mobile traffic, but we cant target the device OS at all...
for mobile app install, i asked appsflyer, they said i can track with their SDK if the advertiser give me the FB APP ID which i dont know what it means.

As an affiliate its not possible. If its your own App or you can get it exclusively then its not a problem at all.

For mobile news feed ads you can select all devices, feature phones, Android or iOS devices (iPhone/iPod/iPad) and can select a minimum version and WiFi.

there's one way around it, not the best one but you can try. This is easily done with Google Play apps.
You can make an app ($5) for android like this: when user installs it an image/page popups with your benefits of installing the app (like a landing page). When he clicks whatever button you have he will be redirected to the app you want him to install. Of course it's only worth doing if the app you are promoting has a high payout.
Also you can pay someone on fiverr to upload your app to his/her account. As for iOS : account is 100$/year + this type of app won't get approved. And approve time is ~7 days.

That's very smart. I wonder how will that convert though

Your conversion rate would be very low as you would rely on people installing your App first. You might as well do a "app of the day" type App and push multiple offers but from experience I can tell you that its very tough to make those work on paid traffic - and tracking is a bitch

The biggest problem tho is that Facebook is charging you for those useless clicks within dark posts (likes, comments, even clicks on picture). With ads for app installs there is no such thing and anywhere you click you are directed to the app store. Hard to keep it profitable like that.
