NTV A/B/C performance? (8)

NTV A/B/C performance?

Are there actually instances in which NTV B/C positions outperform NTV A? I mean, not considering placement pricing, but in pure conversion ratios? I'd assume NTV A is generally the best performance large block spot on most tubes? I've transferred some campaigns over to Exoclick, but haven't ventured into the 300x250 space yet. Just moved over with skyscrapers from other proven campaigns I'm running, but the volume isn't amazing, so I'm looking at expanding into some premium NTV positions.

Yes sometimes NTV B has performed better than NTV A in my experience.

They are very close to each other so difference isn't huge

Keep in mind that depends a lot on the country so as always, the best way is to just test it

You better bet so!

A is not the best 100% of the time at all, this is why you MUST split test EVERYTHINNNNGG

I've had campaigns work on B/C before and not A

Yep, definitely.

I notice very little difference in pure conversion rate, but definitely in competition levels.

If you find inventory where the competition is clustered around NTVA, you can often add 10-20% to your ROI by targeting NTVB and getting a clearer run.

Not so much on the big sites like PornHub, YouPorn, XHamster. This is mainly on the second tier.

Applies to footers too. Porn.com anybody?

Looking at our network, I can say that mostly B out performs A in terms of what they earn. CTR is about the same tho, no huge differences there but bids on B is usually a bit higher.

Anytime someone asks me for the hidden gems on our network, my response is always "Porn.com footer ads" but not many people take my advice. The price is great when you look at the difference in CTR, it's a solid spot and unfortunately under valued by most of our advertisers. Another gem is Hostedtube footers as well, if you aren't buying them yet then give them a shot, you won't be disappointed.

Everyone is overlooking footer ads, across most of the adult adnetworks there is zero COMP on these placements, morph successful banners to fit these placements the ROI is bigtimes

Exactly, most times if you do RON, even on premium GEOs you are getting them for about 40-50% less than if you purchased thru managed placements. Boggles my mind that people are so against trying them, I'll try anything at all, worst case scenario you lose a couple hundred $ to thoroughly test, you can regroup easily.
