Clickbank tracking

Hey guys!

How do you do tracking of Clickbank product? I was searching this STM and found some old posts linking to CB-trax, but the original site is down and the plugin is not available anywhere else ( at I could not find it )... Is there any other way to track CB product? Thanks.

Can you be more specific, pls? Even just link to specific thread here would be fine. Thanks.

You can always manually input subids that have been passed as the tid. However, it's slightly more elegant and less time consuming to use a postback via CB-trax. It is still available to the best of my knowledge - read my thread here: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...8and-others%29

I am completely lost in tracking, to be honest. I am using Bing ads, promoting Clickbank offer on simple website and have installed Prosper on my hosting. I understand I can differentiate ads by using sub ids, but I have no idea what to put where... All the treads I found here are quite general, but I honestly don't get how to set it up...

btw, the links for CBtrax are dead...

You can add Bings own tracking pixel in Clickbank Settings >Integrated Sales Reporting, as others have mentioned you could also pass back SUBID's and upload them into prosper manually

Oh, I found it on Clickbank... it asks for AdCenter Domain ID and Tracking method which I should get from the Bing tracking code they say... But where do I find that code?

Found it and fixed it. Thanks for help!

Yeah I just tried to buy the WSO and I see it goes nowhere... and the forum user who created it is inactive.

Didn't know they integrated Bing pixels - good to know! I assume this works for GA as well?

I believe it works for Adwords, GA and Bingads. Yahoo search marketing is also still an option, so it shows how long it is since they updated it

Yes, Adwords and GA is on the list to choose from on CB.

We integrated instant notification for ClickBank into P202 1.8.x

http://prosper.tracking202.com/blog/...t-notification

You'll get access to this and more for free when Prosper202 1.8.2 comes out

Hey guys, I was trying to work with those subids, I did set up everything in Prosper, updated links in my bing ads, but nothing is tracked...

Now I have question... Do I have to generate in Clickbank new link for each subid or is it enough to generate one link and let Prosper to generate it for me? And one more question regarding Prosper... Is it enough to just input my affiliate link plus the clickbank tid code and then choose [[subid]]? Or do I have to put something mine (e.g. ad keyword ) in the brackets instead of "subid"?

I hope it's not too confusing.

I'm running 24 ads and would like to know which ones produce the most hoplinks and conversions, so I can cut the rest and test some other...

I see the tracking thing is really the reason why so many people never succeed in this business.)

Just set your links up like this in campaigns in prosper..

http:// yourclickbankname.vendorname.hop.clickbank.net?tid =[[subid]]

Don't use the encrypted clickbank links, for some reason I couldn't get them to track subids..

Then on any conversions, just goto clickbank transactions and cut/paste the subids into prosper..

Not automatic.. but works.

Edit: I had to add a space after http:// as STM forum was auto linking the url.. remove that space. And a space is being inserted at the = sign too, which I can't control

You can just generate a single link for CB and then allow Prosper to generate subids from there.

Is it enough to just input my affiliate link plus the clickbank tid code and then choose [[subid]]?
This should work. It won't automatically update Prosper, though - you'll need to import the converting subids manually.

Does that make sense?

You could also use CPVLab, it also has ClickBank instant notification.

Thanks! I just changed all the links... I was using the encrypted hop link and also "/" before "?tid". I'll see now what will happen. Btw, I did not copied the link, cuz I know it like my name, so did not have to worry about spaces.

I'm not that far. I don't know what does it mean to import converting subids to Prosper.... I mean, now I see conversions in Bing Ads for each ad ( I am running one ad group for one keyword and one ad ). What I would like to do is to find out which ads/keywords generates the most hoplinks/conversions and focus on those.
I am newbie in this, but logically thinking, I should focus on ads that generate the most hoplinks and conversions while the CPC is lowest possible in order to be profitable. So, I think that conversions I can see in Bing ads and hop links in Prosper/Clickbank... hope I am getting it right.

If you can hit bing up with conversion data from clickbank then you can see the conversions in there?..

But to be sure to see which ads are working for you.. take the link from prosper ("get links" option).. and add in some variables for each ad.. like t202kw=advert1 or if Bing have tokens (not used for ages so don't know) stick these in the prosper tracking link in C1,C2 and Kw=

Then when you upload your converted subids from clickbank.. prosper will show you which C1 or kw= converted for you..

Like: t202id=0000&c1=token&c2=token&t202kw=advert1

Yea, I can see in Bing which ads converts ( see the beginning of this thread ).

I see what you mean, I need to think about next steps. Now I just need "a bit" more info than I am getting from Bing and CB and cut the cost.

anyone know how to track clickbank with Voluum? Is there a way to track conversions like postback urls?

06-05-2014 01:14 PM #22 zeno (Administrator)

Should be able to do it as instructed here: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...8and-others%29

You will just need to change the postback URL in the script to Voluum's.

Can you explain how this works? All I see in cpvlabs is on page 72 of the user guide. Is it as simple as selecting clickbank and that is it?

Ok I found it on page 111 for anyone who is looking for it.
