So I just threw down a deposit on Exoclick to give a new traffic source a try as I've found an angle that is earning me a little that I'd like to start scaling slowly. What can I expect from the traffic quality? I get most of my Tier1 Clciks on Juicy for under $.02 but the quality seems a little scrappy at times. Minimum bid for Tier 1 on CPC at Exoclick is $.05 vs the $0.15 minimum at JuicyAds. Is that a reflection of traffic quality? Can I expect to see better quality out of my Exoclick traffic? is it a better place to test new campaigns and then move them towards JA when they are in the green? How do the two networks stack up against one another?
You need to be more specific. Are you buying RON traffic or premium spots?
Based on what you said about juicyads and their .02 per click price, I assume you were running RON over there and did the same on exoclick.
Exo has a higher minimum bid when you go PPC, the traffic quality can be better than on juicyads, but it can also be worse than on juicy, all depends on the particular site you buy from.
Generally speaking, exoclick is way bigger network than juicyads, so there is way more good sites in the mix, but the same goes for bad sites.
From my experience, exoclick has better traffic generally than juicyads, but the price is also way higher so it kinda evens out.
There is one thing to consider when running RON campaign on exoclick, the network is so huge that once you tap into a GEO like US for example, they will send you a ton of traffic really fast and your budget will be gone in a matter of minutes.
So in case you are new to this, I would recommend to stay away from running RON on exoclick alltogether.
When I was starting, I did exactly the same mistake on exo, I created a RON campaign in the US, set the minimum bid thinking it would go rather slow ... in an hour or so they send me traffic worth of $250 or so, even tho my max budget was set to $100, they even sent my account to negative balance. They do this all the time, in a high volume GEO, they wont respect your cap. After this test, I was left with data on 5000 clicks coming from about 1000 domains and 10 leads ... needless to say that this data was totally useless... 5 clicks from a domain wont tell you much about the quality. So it was effectively money thrown out of the window.
I would recommend trying a few premium spots, something that offers NTV spots and has good volume in your GEO. Don't go straight to xhamster, but try something like sunporno or cliphunter.
So far I've only placed a few bids on smaller sites that I've found success with on JuicyAds that are also running on Exoclick. I'm looking at getting together some campaigns on premium spots and building some creatives specific to the site that can hopefully transition well to a specific offer.
