Using offer logos on your LP and custom creatives? (5)

Using offer logos on your LP and custom creatives?

I constantly see people on the forums talking about how it is best practice to create a funnel that flows well in it's design straight from creative through to the offer page. Yet when it comes to spying on the competition and the advertisers in top rotation, this is almost never the case. I mean, I'm pretty positive that with a relative newb picking up these "hints" that an affiliate with a $x,xxx+ daily ad spend would have tested this approach at some point and it lost out.

Either way I think design around an offer is worth giving a shot for a test, and I'm looking at following color scheme through the funnel, and trying to create a flow that feels consistent right from my banner to the signup form. So long as the offer allows it, would you recommend using the offer logos to brand your way through the funnel as well? Is there any track record of branding the funnel to match? Or should you try to match the feel throughout the conversion path without overbranding?

Using a consistent color scheme and design is a VERY good idea. I've seen measurable improvements from matching LP and offer page color schemes time and time again. (Tip: match font too.)

Branding: yep, this is a good idea as well, under most circumstances. Ben at POF did an interesting test on this a while ago: http://blog.ads.pof.com/2012/04/09/b...world-results/

Maybe double check with your offer advertiser first, you never know if you have an image that might land them in some hot water from branding your lander with their logo with a girl who complains one day,

Always cover your ass just in case

It used to add $$$ to my mainstream dating campaigns using a hard-sell on Be2.

Until users became brand blind and stopped clicking the landing page once they saw the Be2 logo...

My guess, only a guess, is that it could help if you're pushing a brand new offer that the user isn't familiar with. But if you shove, say, the Adult Friend Finder logo on your LP, you'll probably just lose landing page clicks.

Positioning is important.

Are you introducing them to a brand new offer, or re-telling a story about an offer they've already seen on somebody else's landing page?

If you're re-telling the story, I'd remove the logo to override their first impression.

Reminds me of Ben @ POF's case study on EA's brand effect on banners a while back: http://blog.ads.pof.com/2012/04/09/b...world-results/
