Hi,
during last few days, I've spent a lot of hours on this forum, soaking up knowledge. Now, I feel I am ready to start my first campaign. However, I can set aside only 1500$ for experimenting and testing. After browsing the forum, I can't help but wonder if this is going to be remotely enough to get me anywhere - I regularly see folks here spending hundreds of dollars daily with still being in red.
I'd like to start with POF (from what I've gathered, that seems to be most beginner-friendly traffic source) and I would be extremely happy if I could achieve a stable profit somewhere in $20 - 40 range. I understand that long-term testing and experimenting is an absolute must in AM, I just'd like to know if I have even remote chance of success.
Thanks for any input!
You can certainly get started with 1500. That was basically my starting budget. On the chance you lose it all you will at least have given yourself a much better understanding of what it's all about and can reevaluate if you want to keep at it.
Thanks nomad - and how is it going so far? I went over your Follow along and last post there seemed like you are getting somewhere.
Yea I have to update the follow along. I've been pretty bad about that but plan to do better at it.
It's going decently. I'm stuck around I hover between a few dollars positive on a day to -30-45 ROI. The negatives come from adding new things I'm testing. I plan to try 310 banners instead of 110 in the next day or two and hope that makes a big difference. Just have to learn my way around photoshop. I'll update when I do.
$1500 budget is definitely enough to make a good start.
The key thing is to pick your traffic source, your targeting, and your offers carefully. You can't afford to test $40 payout clickbank offers, because you don't have the budget - but you can totally test $.40 app installs. You can't afford to do broad-targeted campaigns on FB or POF - but you can certainly go niche for easier, higher ROI when you start.
