Hello,
I am not a big fan of photoshop...
but I need some editing tools... for JPG / PNG / GIF
What do you guys recommend?
I basically need to replace a text... an image... a background color and etc...
Please provide some easy tool... not like photoshop... I do not think I have time to learn photoshop...
As far as my image editing skill... I am pretty good... with MS PAINT... (only)...
Here is an example of image that I need to edit/modify...

I will need to change the picture in this PIN image from map-lander..
This one also... I need to edit/modify the image/text/backgroundcolor/textcolor/etc...
This is a GIF...

The image above is a GIF... when I uploaded... but it turned to JPG... must be some forum restriction...

Thanks a lot in advance!
I use this website: http://pixlr.com/editor/ for editing JPG and PNG images
Hi-
I use photoshop as it is the industry standard and there are many tutorials on photoshop available on the web. Whatever you want to do, just search on google and you will find the steps. Also some good k-bombs for photoshop here on STM.
If the cost is a factor in not using Photoshop, know that you can get Photoshop CS2 version directly from Adobe for FREE. Just google PS CS2 download and sign up for an adobe account to get your free full version of PS... ya it is 10 years old but it still does the things you need it to do for you AM work.
Hope this helps!

PS is a heavy and powerful tool, but to do the basics you need, it won't take you more than 1 day to learn.
I strongly suggest you put some time into learning the basics.
If the price point is a problem, just use GIMP which is very similar and open source.
I think you may misunderstand something... Photoshop IS easy to use. It just has a lot more additional power/functionality compared to other programs. The fact is it is inarguably the king of raster-based image editing and has been for a long time.
Use something like Paint, GIMP, Pixlr etc. and then switch to Photoshop and you'll find the basic tools are all very similar. It's the complexity that tends to scare people away, but it's all just a front.
To use an analogy, you could drive a Bugetti Veyron from A to B or you could drive a 1980 Mazda 323. They both operate similarly in that you sit down, use a steering wheel and some pedals. But behind the scenes the Veyron has 100+ advanced tools and functions that you COULD use if you wanted to, but you choose not to. Would you then pick the Mazda 323 simply because the Veyron is too powerful?
Also, the Adobe Creative Cloud suite is about as good as you will get when it comes for value for money software right now. Everything from Muse to Photoshop to Dreamweaver to Edge Code... the value at your fingertips is unreal.
For that pin in particular, I opened it > zoomed in > selected the circle marquee tool > clicked in the centre of the image and dragged outward while holding shift and alt > made a circle selection over the girl picture > hit ctrl+shift+i to invert selection > ctrl+u to edit hue > done. Literally took me 5 seconds to do.
In IM things will be daunting and difficult. Get into a habit of tackling things head on if the are going to benefit you in the long run.
I've got to second Zeno and Besmir; take some time to learn how to use fundamentally useful tools.
Imagine not taking the time to learn HTML or Excel. If you can reasonably assume that a single tool or productive function will bottleneck your ability to work then take a day or two to become reasonably competent with it.
Imagine your productive hours as a resource; spending time learning to be more capable and independent with Photoshop will be extremely high ROI.
Thanks a lot guys...
I will think about it... and yes.. the price of PS cs6 is a bit high.... I will try to get the CS2 if it is free...
I tried photoshop long time ago... and i really do not like it... there's too much to learn.. like the layers and stuff...
but yeah... thanks for all your input....
The new Creative Cloud suite is subscription based and there are free trials of most things. I got a student membership so get the entire cloud suite for ~$15/USD a month. It pays for itself.
One more vote for Photoshop here. There are many areas of productivity where it's hard to point out the best tool, but image editing isn't one of them: Photoshop is by far the best tool in its area.
+1 photoshop and muse
For a long time i refused to sign up to there creative cloud subscription and continued to try other softwares etc...
I wasted alot time, Now i use photoshop and muse
Photoshop + Contractor for the win
