So ill do my best to squeeze it in at some point today...cause a promisse is a promisse

I hope part 2 describes what to do after you got an offer that looks like it has potential.

07-04-2011 01:19 AM #16 tijn (Moderator)

that will be in part 3. What i hope to get done today is a live walkthrough of selecting the target, selecting the offers, getting your campaign setup and approved.

Tijn Any chance I can get you to post the formulas you used in the "know your metrics" spreadsheet? Thanks!

I've done something similar to this.... my target was ivillage.com... I rotated literally 14 offers DL, not one conversion after 1x payout on each offer. All the offers were submit offers between $2-4$ Not sure what I did wrong. I like the idea that the data comes in fast, but everytime I try this even on other URL's.... "mywebsearch.com" for example nothing ever seems to convert DL until I get a lander in front of it. However to sit down and build 14 landers for 14 different offers that may or may not work just doesn't seem efficient.

Thanks could you post links to those calculators you used in the know your metrics part the ones with confidence intervals and such.

I agree that it works on some domains and not on others. Its also dependent on your network and the speed with which the DLs load. Ive had success with this method on several high volume URLs, for example farmville.com, but always find that offers perform very differently depending on the network and the time of day (odly).

I might look at doing that as a follow up - ive successfully done this with landers as well as with DL. Ill do a video at the end showing how I would do this with landers rather then DL.

.
Hey Tijn,

Mind sharing the spreadsheet again?

Cheers
Ryan

Make sure your logged into a google account and that you can use google spreadsheets. Then just click the link you quoted and it should ask you whether you want to make a copy. Click YES and off you go -> you got your own copy.

If it doesnt work try logging out of google, clearing your cookies, and logging back in. Then try again.

09-28-2011 09:44 PM #24 ryankan1 (Member)

Kept getting this ...

We're sorry.
We're sorry, your spreadsheet cannot be copied at this time.

Find out more at the Google Docs Help Centre.

Tried from apps account, Google account, re-logging and clearing cookies too.

it's a very informative tutorial! I'd say that it should be useful for all of us - even a beginner like me great tools

For those with trouble creating a copy of the spreadsheet, here is a link to the view only version.

Just copy the cells into your own spreadsheet to use

Video uploaded and post changed so it should be available from now on without issues.

Why are some videos on the forum are private? How can I view them?

07-18-2013 10:48 AM #30 caurmen (Administrator)

Which videos are you having problems with?

If you can post links to the posts with those videos in (get the link to a specific post from the number at the top right of the post - #29 in the case of your post) I'll look into the problem and see if I can get them back online.

07-24-2013 05:23 PM #31 itsjustbrian (Member)

All the embedded vimeo videos show "Private."

Example: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...3477#post13477

07-25-2013 02:55 PM #32 caurmen (Administrator)

OK, gotcha, looking into it. That's not the case across the forum as a whole (some of my tutorials have Vimeo vids in), but I can see it's a problem on this thread.

08-03-2013 06:17 AM #33 niklas (Member)

Bump, any estimates as to when this will be up again? Or a link to where I can watch it instead?

08-03-2013 10:55 AM #34 caurmen (Administrator)

No solid estimate, but soon. It's on my to-do list.

08-10-2013 09:16 AM #35 riley (Member)

Hi
I am keen to watch this but don't know how to get past the fact that the video is private - all I can see is this instruction

"If you have permission to watch this video,
please "

thanks

08-10-2013 01:10 PM #36 caurmen (Administrator)

I'm going to work on resolving this next week, and if I can't get it sorted quickly, move it out of the public forums until everything's back online, so that people aren't getting frustrated trying to access these vids.

08-12-2013 07:23 PM #37 bhmonkey (Member)

@caurment - in the short term, is there a video url link we could download the video or something until the embed works? It might be an easy work around to save you some time. I know this one and part 2 are sought after. Just a thought...

08-13-2013 02:58 PM #38 motavi (Member)

Looking forward to watching these videos.

Perhaps you can post the link here?

08-13-2013 03:12 PM #39 caurmen (Administrator)

I'm afraid that I don't have access to the videos myself at present - this wasn't a tutorial I wrote.

I'm looking into getting it back online, but I can't promise anything.
