Hi guys,
I'm using zero click media buying (like ZeroPark) and direct linking campaigns (for now). I'm running campaigns for some smaller (local) affiliate networks. The problem is that they started to notice my traffic (as the volume is quite huge) and they never see something like this (small competition). I'm suspicious for them. They think I spam or use some porn/warez traffic. However I cannot let them know my exact traffic source as that is my main competition advantage.
Therefore I would like to ask how would you solve this? I think this is normal and the traffic I send is legit and it converts, anyway advertisers may not like it for some reasons, so I would like to make it more solid and long term.
What would you recommend in a such situation?
Thanks for any ideas.
First of all
Are you sending adult traffic too ?
Are you tracking sources' IDs ?
Im sending RON and optimize it and cut bad sources, but it does take time to get significant numbers. I think I will have to switch to LP and filter out the "shit" this way.
if you found gold traffic... you should never give them any hint about it... or they will want a piece of it... just give them general information that is needed for them...
if they can't take it... then move on to the next advertiser/offer...
I am pretty sure you can find similar offer easily... but you cannot easily find gold traffic source...
Well, if you're running RON and there's no site/keyword transparency then you could well be sending warez/porn/torrent etc. traffic... Are you cutting source based on ROI alone? Can you check referrers or passed tokens to know which sites are from the aforementioned categories?
I'm not an expert in zero click traffic, just throwing some thoughts here. If that traffic converts you can:
a) Talk to them. From your first post it sounds like you are worried about it, but it could be just you. Ask them how is your traffic.
b) Build a landing page. IMO you should never send this kind of traffic directly. If we are talking really big volume you could be causing too much stress on their system. Beside that, it seems like a waste of traffic, regardless of how cheap it comes. Pre-qualify and segment your leads.
c) If you insist on running it directly, find the same offer elsewhere and split the traffic across several networks. If the offer is unique, find different offers for that demo and set up link rotation.
Thanks for replies guys.
Of course I should use LP and I already started some split tests. The problem is that with LP I'm not getting almost any leads. (however will have to wait more, as some of them are coming few days later after visit for this niche). So will see, I have to test a lot more so I can get the same results with LP which would be great.
