FB mobile newsfeed stats make no sense

I'm trying to get some traffic going for android app offer targeted to indonesia, but I'm getting bizarre results.

1. I've tried using javascript redirect which i dont think was passing on half my clicks, and now im using a php 301 redirect which seems to be doing better. But why are so many of my clicks not getting reported? I've set the targeting strictly to android devices and have specified the current minimum version. This is not an aff network issue as im tracking clicks myself.

2. The other problem is with the ad itself getting 3x as many post likes than website clicks, which makes no sense. Why are so many people liking the ad if they don't even click on it? This never happens with my us/eu campaigns. The post like count is always a percentage of the website clicks, not the other way round.

I'm not really sure what your questions are here.

However you may be tracking the clicks a javascript redirect is a really bad idea for mobile. You say not many of your clicks are getting reported - what do you mean? Is there a large discrepancy between the website clicks listed by FB and your tracked clicks? To what extent?

Your ad seems to be an advertised page post ad and it's getting lots of likes. Presumably it's not a problem at all, it's just that your post is very likeable and/or the demographic is inclined to like posts. Indonesia is a very different country to the US and those in the EU so without any other data from ID it's hard to say if this is abnormal.

Need to familiarize yourself with the behavior of Indonesians. Like Zeno said, do you believe your demo to be "likers" or "clickers"? Run another ad/offer in the demo and analyze the % of "facebook clicks" and "facebook clicks to website" and actual clicks registered in your tracker.

Also know that Indonesia has an above average amount of click farms costing you as well. I fcking hate FB advertising. Likes, shares, page likes, post likes...i think its mostly a popularity contest scam on FB's part to get dumb people to pay more. Conversions and actual clicks - that's all I give a fuck about. Not who is "talking about my page." Go fuck yourself facebook...

This is for advertising on mobile Facebook?

That's the whole problem with mobile advertising on facebook. You don't want to pay for likes and it is impossible as an affiliate to directly promote an app, it has to go through a fanpage.
