tracking airpush

Does anybody run offers on airpush?

I am running some mobile offer from mundo media and i am using airpush to advertise, now i wanna track on airpish my conversions and they told me to put %guid% (which is their tracking token) at the end of the tracking link from mundo media.
So my mundo media affiliate link for this offer is this one http://sofcotrk.com/mt/v2b4x234d4t233r264w2z224/ now i did what they told me to do...i went to mundo and i add the sub id and the final link will be http://sofcotrk.com/mt/v2b4x234d4t23...&subid2=%guid% but it doesn't work the link with the % if i take it off instead...it does, but still it doesn't get the conversions on airpush.
I am emailing airpush support for one week and nothing yet, so i ask you people that you probably can make this clear, i am struggling understanding tracking in general with all this codes, is there some guide around in the forum that i should look at?

This is just temporary until i buy the vps and install stm tracker on it and track with you guys, but until then mundo media tracking is terrible, it's not very efficient, so i cannot scale up my campaign and cannot see where my conversions come from. Please help me out

Here is what it looks like on Voluum....

http://d.pr/i/EbPy

But, you would basically add a token called guid and in your tracking URL it would be &guid=%guid%

Its not in your mundo url, its in your tracking url...

Mundo is not a tracker.... They wont track shit for you....

You need your own tracker, STM or Voluum or cpvlab or imobitrax.... But, you cant do anything without a tracker... Get that first, otherwise running offers without a tracker is useless....

Yo, the way this kind of tracking works is like this:

You have an advert URL. It is the affiliate link that sends people through Mundo Media and to the offer. At Airpush, you add &subid2=%guid% to the advert URL. When a real user clicks on that ad the %guid% gets replaced with a unique click ID. Lets say it's "superawesome123". So, the user actually gets sent to hxxp://myafflink.com/mt/&subid1=pushadmybanner&subid2=superawesome123. Small point - check that this indeed the right format for the URL from Mundo Media. It could be .../mt/?subid1=.... or it could be .../mt/&subid1=. It's important that the & and ? don't get mixed up.

Then, in Mundo Media in your click stats you should see that a click came through with subid1 of pushadmybanner and subid2 of superawesome123. Now, if that clicker converts, what we want to do is then tell Airpush that the person converted. We actually have to do that, it doesn't happen by magic or some ethereal connection between servers. To do this we need to tell Airpush that the clicker with unique click ID "superawesome123" just converted. We do so using a postback URL, also known as a server2server pixel. So, in Airpush you need to find out what their conversion tracking URL is. Quick Googling tells me that it is:

Code:
http://api.airpush.com/track/?guid=<guid value>
So, you then need to go to Mundo Media, find the pixel setup for the offer, and then add this in as a postback URL whilst including the value that was passed as subid2. For example:

Code:
http://api.airpush.com/track/?guid=##subid2##
Where ##subid2## is whatever placeholder Mundo uses to dynamically insert subid2. Now, when conversions happen, Mundo will pass on that info to Airpush and Bob's your uncle, tracking success!

Since you don't have a tracker in the middle here you are going to have to rely on the data Airpush gives you to optimise. You don't necessarily need a tracker if you are direct linking and the traffic source gives you a lot of information, but it's rare to not have a tracker in the middle.

I was just testing out..but reading the guide from this forum it says don't even start without your own tracking software.

Anyway i jsut wanted to understand all this, so even with another tracker the process it will be the same.

Zeno i did everything as you said, so i appended this http://api.airpush.com/track/?guid=%SUBID2% on mundo pixels and that's fine i think, now on affiliate link if i have this http://sofcotrk.com/mt/v2b4x234d4t23...&subid2=%guid% when i open the link it doesn't work it says BAD REQUEST 400, different thing if i use this link without the % on guide http://sofcotrk.com/mt/v2b4x234d4t23...er&subid2=guid this one works. Is this normal or i am misunderstood some point? thank you again.

It seems the % at the very start of guid breaks the link - must be due to Mundo's system. It should be fine in the live ad as %guid% will be replaced with something different (i.e. that doesn't start with %)

This is what i received by email once i updated this link http://sofcotrk.com/mt/v2b4x234d4t23...&subid2=%guid% to airpush.....

Hello Andrea Costa,

Your creative has been reviewed and will not be approved as it does not meet our Content Guidelines.

Your creative has been declined due to the following reasons:

Linking url did not work. Please check the url for errors or provide us with the screenshot of the landing page at creativesupport@airpush.com

they just said it can take up to 48 hours to track conversions...thank god i just bought the vps with you guys

03-06-2014 06:31 AM #11 zeno (Administrator)

Hey, email Airpush and say:

"It appears that the %guid% is breaking the link and I have forwarded this information to the network in control of the tracking system. In the interim could you please review the link again WITHOUT the %guid% token. If this is not possible let me know and I will send you a screenshot of the landing page"

I'll get in touch with Mundo Media and let them know, this could be an issue network wide so is definitely something to fix.

Upload the images to Imgur or similar and post the links - the forums attachment system shrinks them down and they become illegible.

Yeah Mundo's system can't eat % signs and it will produce errors.

Step# zero: get the tracker set up and familiarize yourself with how it works. Believe it or not, it makes life ALOT easier. Nobody runs traffic here without a tracker. It's like figuring out your income tax return without a computer or even a calculator.

yeah just don't do it.... it's a waste of ur time

I just got stm tracker on vps and i am working on that right now, still confused about it but between affiliate network, advertiser network and tracking software waaaaaaaaaaa
It must be more simple than i think it's been really 3 hours trying to understand how does it work...

Put it on paper. Imagine how clicks go and what each URL turns into and what the reason is for

#1. Aff. Network Campaign URL
#2. Subid parameter in that Campaign URL
#3. Your Campaign in the tracker
#4. Your Campaign link from the tracker that has some "tokens"
#5. Ad network click: what happens to that "campaign link from the tracker" when it's actually clicked by a visitor and it's tokens
#6. Postback URL: what it is, where it goes and what's it for. I.e. which information it delivers.

Took me sometime to figure it out, but then it becomes your second nature and you don';t even think aboit it, don't worry.
