This is how I do it today:
- Find a running ad in a campaign, click «create similar ad» and then put that similar ad in a new campaign when placing the order.
- Fire up Power Editor and clone all ads from the old campaign (except the first one I similar created) into the new campaign
How do you do it? Is there any easier way to do this?
I have just been cloning the campaign in power editor, renaming it and editing the links. Not sure it gets much easier than that. Was there something specific that was holding you up?
How do you do it? When I try to duplicate I have to select a target campaign, left without the option to create a new one... maybe I'm dumb and missing some vital functionality here.
edit: Yeah.. click «campaigns» in the top left corner and then you can duplicate the campaign itself.... got it.. I was duplicating ads
Also, when duping campaigns in power editor, try to do so only to live campaigns that have already been uploaded. I have found that if you duplicate a campaign, then duplicate that again, it wasn't duplicating the ads from within the campaign.
Also make sure that when you create your campaign, if it has lots of ads that you wait until all ads have finished creating before you duplicate in power editor, otherwise it won't duplicate with all of the ads. I also find that if you duplicate while pending that approval times seem to be a bit quicker. Just my experience.
I duplicated a campaign that was running fine yesterday, ads were approved right away but now both the original and the new one isn't showing any impressions..
