Hi guys,
I am new in this forum...
and I do not know where to ask this question...
but here it goes..
(mod please move this thread if needed)
A few weeks ago... I started a campaign and was getting huge number of conversion... (26 conversion for 1day... my highest ever)
My problem with that campaign... is that I was also spending a lot... I spent around $160 for 1day... and I earned around $100...
I saw the how to get started in 2013 thread here by: caurmen
I read through all of it... and I get the idea.. that I was very close to getting a positive ROI...
so basically... with that campaign... the problem is getting the CPC lower.. that campaign had $0.25+ CPC...
but before I can even do anything about the campaign... I got a bad news from the affiliate network telling me that...
the advertiser... wants me to stop promoting their offer...
It wasn't any fraud or anything like that... but I sent them around 50+ leads with that campaign... and I think they wanted that leads to "UPGRADE" or "BUY" something...
so yeah.. I had to stop promoting them... "I DID NOT GET ANY POSITIVE ROI FROM THAT CAMPAIGN"...
I spent $700+ and I only earned around $300 Total from that campaign alone..
Anyway... it is time to move on... (it took me 4days+ to move on)...
because I kept thinking that "I WAS SO CLOSE TO GETTING POSITIVE ROI AND MAKING MONEY"... and then the advertiser said "STOP"...
anyway moving on...
Now (this week)... I started a new campaign again... and the situation is a bit different... this time my CPC was "LOW" but my conversion rate is also very "LOW"...
I think it is because I created too many landing pages and offers... (I created 7 landing pages and 4 offers)...
only to find out that the old and original landing page still gives me more clickthrough...
on this campaign... I spent over $200+ already with only $28 earnings...
I have around 1200 CLICKS (I got LOW CPC)... and I only have 4 conversions...
So my question is where should I start working on this campaign? Do you guys think the problem is in the offers?
I have 4 offers... only 1 got 3 conversions (SOI) and another one with 1 conversion (DOI) with a total of 4 conversions..
Also my landing page has 10-15% CTR... (do you think it is too low?) I am now down to only 2 landing pages... I disabled the 5 low performing landing pages from the original 7 LPs...
Here is a screenshot of my CPVLAB:

Thanks a lot guys in advance!
7 landing pages plus 4 offers is quite a mix - you would need a lot of data to make guided decisions there. What kind of offer are you promoting? For Facebook I would tend to start with a single offer (the highest performer if there are many similar ones) and split test a few landers first. The largest amount of initial split testing I would confine to Facebooks end - images, ad copy, ad types, bidding modes, targeting. There is enough on your plate already so starting with nearly 30 backend combos is a sure way to make your campaign messy.
Hi Zeno,
Thanks for your comment...
This campaign's 7 landing pages and the 4 offers are pretty much "related"... like age... country... target... niches... all are related...
except the advertiser... and their landing pages... are different... same as with how they allow their registration... like SOI/DOI or one click FB auth button..
anyway... I already narrow it down to 2 landing pages and 2 offers...
By the way... this is a Dating offer...
so what should I be doing now?
I still get a lot of clicks... 60clicks from the time i posted the original post... and still no additional conversion...
Well, your biggest problem right now is that you're probably going to get all your ads retro'd since Facebook has outright blacklisted all dating advertisements that aren't through whitelisted agencies and affiliates. If you keep them running, chances are you will get banned.
I've learned its best not to get too hung up on any one metric of your funnel. Of course you want to fix the leaks (ie: higher cpc) but don't discount the synergy of the entire funnel process and how each piece plays into each other.
It's best to get into this mind set early so your not spinning a wheel like a hamster.
the only thing you should generally be concerned about is overall ROI.
10-15% for your lander ctr is normal for me.
BUT think about this...
I had a camp recently that had a higher cpc than I've ever gotten, and I was almost about to can it, but than I realized it was converting over-all like a mo fo. It was the highest ROI I've ever had over a decent sample.
I realized my ad copy and ad's itself were pre qualifying people.
so instead of having a broad general ad that got a higher CTR and thus lowered the bid costs, I pre qualified and got lets say "higher quality" clicks that were more opt to buy.
conversion rate was higher and thus lead to a higher ROI even though my bid prices were higher.
that was the first of a few A-ha moments I've had over the last couple months lol...
so your stats can fluctuate throughout the funnel , there are some target ranges you want to shoot for but don't get to hung up on any one specific stat and focus on the synergy and flow of the funnel as a whole.
you always want to plug leaks as best you can (lower cpc, high lander ctr, high conversion etc etc) but always realize its about overall ROI
GL!
Hi...
well yeah of course... how can we make money if we DON'T get positive ROI right?
I have been trying to get positive ROI for over 2 months...
I have read around... that... if your ad campaign are doing good... then the problem must be the offers...
and they said try another offer... which I did... and today I got 3 conversion with $15+ per conversion...
that gave me around $50... but when I went ahead and check my fbads... I am still paying around $70
so... yeah I guess those previous offers landing page where not as good as this new offers landing page...
still... trying to figure out how to get positive ROI...
