Should I try to monetize my own mobile traffic or not? (18)
Hi guys,
I still run amateur porn site, where I do have like 10-12000 mobile visits per day. I have there some Reporo banners which are making me $10 a day. As a POF marketer and total mobile noob I have one question. Should I use it traffic to learn mobile? Is it good idea or total nonsense? (Yes I want to switch to mobile after I manage to have steady profit on POF). I also have like $3k remaining budget for learning stuff that I could use around.
I would like to hear opinion from you, pros... Btw my traffic is around 40% from US, and other 20-30% are other Tier 1 countries like Germany, UK, Canada. Most of it is from Google, so pretty good quality. Any advice will be much appreciated 
Yes, of course you should just for the hell of it.
It will prove to be a great play ground for learning some stuff.
10k visits might not seem to be a lot but you own the traffic source.
This means that you can manipulate your traffic to a much further extent than just creating high CTR banners.
It could also be a great place just for experimenting.

4 million impressions? I'd take that. Use it as your own testing playground - if something works then scale horizontally to mobile advertising platforms. That's an awesome situation to be in - you can test things for free. Jealous.
Agreed it's free education, also keep in mind mobile is a lot more scalable than pof.
The really hard part is all that traffic is from SO many different countries and it's going to be really hard to make campaigns for each country.
Otherwise I'd definitely tell you to monetize it yourself.
Woah thanks guys for such advices! I understand that it won't be so comfortable as running it via mobile networks, but with some effort I can at least learn the basics from it. I decided to give POF another 14 days to create little baseline cashflow and then move to my mobile playground.
Btw here is GEO breakdown: 
I assume the grey is unknown? I'd start with placing a global offer. Then pick off big countries one by one with individual campaigns.
You should take the easy route and just sell the site to me 
On a serious note.. Just take a look at who's attention you've drawn with this post.
You've got something valuable here.
You should make a script that shows specific banners for specific geos.
But you could also test other stuff.. like incentive offers, collecting e-mails.. etc.
I'm working on my own traffic source.. but it's a slow process.

Am I right when I think that I should start with adult dating / penis enlargement / webcams? Can some non-adult offers work there? As I haven't seen many there I doubt it.

yeah, I will probably start follow along on this.. And it's site of mine which used to be big back in 2007-2010 (200k visits/day), it was making for my living well.. now after all these Google animals it's time to learn mobile marketing on it and step up
