Campaign paused - branded keyword issue

I had a campaign paused today at request of AFF manager

We used 2 branded keywords in campaign and they not like that "beachbody" "insanity workout"

I am obviously looking at new keywords but what are ways / angles to keep this campaign going

CPC is about .20 and CPA $12 so not much margin and need targeted traffic or blow budget

Thanks for any ideas

I assume AdWords? Can you bid on the keyword but not use it in your copy? I have done this before and it worked for a while if Google gave me issues with Trademarks.

Are you talking about bidding on those terms or using them in your ad copy? Often advertisers may forbid both.

The advertiser (Beachbody) is forbidding me from using branded keywords for their product (insanity workout) in ad copy.

Google not involved at all.

My question is how do I publicize "Insanity workout by Beachbody" if I cany use those words?

Yes; I could say "Melt Fat Workout" or other generic words - but I need focus targeted traffic to make this work

Any ideas?

Why would you want to use Insanity workout by Beachbody in your ad copy anyway? Does that spark a passionate response in the reader- that combination of insanity and beachbody, oh god I need this product now! Are they talking about ads btw or ads AND landing pages?

If you are having issues because the way things are written you refer to the product name a lot then there's your problem... don't sell them a product, sell them a solution to their problems, a route to their goal. The name of the product they meet after clicking is not that important. In any case the product has a lander and content that you can't control and you might want to split test offers - in which case the product name becomes even less important!

So you are bidding on the offer owners brand name to get traffic that is highly interested in the product?
If that's the case then the advertiser might want you to stop as you are not effectively bringing in any new sales. You are just capturing people who want to buy the product anyways and have them click your aff link to get your share.

ok; I will rewrite the ads and test more. Thanks for the nudge and encouragement.

we are doing re-targeting with display ads and just picked up a sale with 0.30 click and $12 CPA - so there is some profit on that sale.
