Trying to set up a lander to collect emails (for me) before sending to offers.

Just finished creating one and this is my 2nd lander that I've ever created.

Please gimme some advice currently getting 6% conversion rate.

Have you tried putting the email box on the page?

I'm a coding idiot and not sure how to do that. I built that with leadpages.net

This is defintiely your first step!

I'd also remove "healthy lifestyle" logo, and put the main "todays diet tip" header at the top!

You have today's diet tip - but the following text isn't a tip at all. Today only - watch this video free. Why would I pay to watch your video in the first place? It's hard to tell from the small image but the button text isn't easy to read. What do the bullet points say? What are the images at the bottom of the page - they just seem to be there. Was the offer feature on these sites? Are they sponsors?

Was this screenshot designed for ants?

Here's some things I would test out

a) Putting email opt in directly on the page
b) Offer different incentives. Try a free eBook "7 secrets to shedding belly fat" or something
c) test out testimonials. Samantha says your tips helped her lose 10 lbs
d) You need better "social proof" Why would you have your own logo as social proof?
e) Headline's bad. Test 50+ more
f) If you're insistent on the video. Consider making it bigger. Also consider auto-playing it for the first minute, and then stopping it. You have to opt in if you want to see the rest. You'll have to download and edit the video yourself.

I could think of like 50+ more things. Anyways don't take my criticism as being mean because I'm trying to help you by offering advice.

I do applaud you for being a newbie and creating your own pages.

There are a couple paid landing page services like unbounce or leadpages...there are several others. Super easy but not completely customizable.

What service are you using to store the emails you're collecting? They probably have a "form builder" app that will give you the code you need to paste in for your email box.
