Help Getting Dating Ads Approved pls
I tried to get a few dating ads through on Facebook and it seems nearly impossible? The last few that I've tried had images of just head shots without any skin or protectiveness at all! I get this message in the ads manager: "Your ad wasn't approved because ads for dating sites and apps are only allowed from approved advertisers at this time. Learn more in the Help Center. If you believe that your ad follows our policy or if you'd like to advertise your dating service on Facebook, get in touch."
What are approved advertisers? And if you look at the help centre page here the dating guidelines are super strict but whenever I'm looking at my newsfeed all I see is half naked women? I've also checked Adninja & I see ads that have been running for 90 days with half naked women too? Am I missing something here? The landing page is clean & professional too & is similar to a match.com lander. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

Facebook for dating is pretty much dead for affiliates unless you can get white listed to run dating ads by them(hint:you can't)

Basically for dating you need to have your affiliate id whitelisted by the advertiser directly.
You can always cloak but ads shouldn't hint that it's a dating ad.
@no1d To get whitelisted you need to contact the advertiser. If you run through an affiliate network it's more difficult.

I was told that you can get your account whitelisted if the advertiser is whitelisted.
But it really seems to depend on how closely you work with FB.
But yeah, basically it's difficult to impossible to do it legitimately as an affiliate working with a network.

Oh yes, that's for sure. But on top of that, the advertiser also needs to whitelist you as an affiliate.

Big Dating advertisers (Match, eHarmony) are whitelisted and running stronger than ever.
Sometimes they can whitelist (and take responsibility) for their big direct FB affiliates by vouching & submitting their ad account #.

Oh I meant, I was told by FB that they could whitelist an agency account as long as the advertiser was whitelisted.
So without the advertisers expressed permission which I'd imagine is very difficult if not impossible for most to get.
But that was a couple days ago and it hasn't happened yet, so maybe he was wrong.

To sum it up, the advertiser has to be whitelisted, and they then need to tell FB that they approve you as an affiliate to run their offer, and then FB allows you to do so. This is not an account whitelist which lets you run dating - pretty sure it just whitelists your for that specific advertiser (e.g. whitelisted by Zoosk due to your direct relationship -> can't run eHarmony as well).

Hi all...
I got another question... sorry if it is a bit not on the topic...
how can you go after those whitelisted advertisers?
and let's say we can contact them... and ask them to allow us to be their affiliate...
how does that changes our ad promotion from sexy/spicy images into a decent one (allowed ads)?
I mean... for you to be allowed by the advertiser... you must comply to their TOS right? so if you mess up... you are out?

You are unlikely to have any success just trying to approach these companies outright with no history with them. If you were pushing $xx,xxx daily or could then they might take you more seriously, but you would also probably have a way of contacting them anyway (most people spending $$$$ have contacts).
It won't change anything when it comes to ad compliance on FB. In fact you would have to be even more careful since if you piss off the advertiser you are gone...

The "Whitelist" is for affiliates who have a history with the advertiser.
Why would an advertiser such as eHarmony whitelist an affiliate they have never worked with before? The issue is the advertiser is responsible for the affiliate's action. If you start cloaking to pages with nudity on it, then they might lose the ability to whitelist future affiliates. It's a horrible risk vs reward scenario for them.

And arguably one that's going to eventually land an ambitious affiliate in some hot water. Popcorn at the ready.

Are clicks so cheap on FB that you can run an ad that doesn't look like a dating ad and still have a decent ROI?
Backstory-I have a dating site that is in the incubator stage so I am looking to get a lot of female traffic for free sign ups on my site. The site isn't adult, but not really mainstream either. More along the lines of a sugar daddy site.

Clicks are cheap everywhere - totally depends on how much effort you're putting in to get those clicks. 1 cent clicks for dating in US? Easy!

Yes this does seem very strange. I'm astounded at the amount of skin & implied sexuality I see in some of the sidebar adds. It's clearly against the T.O.S. Maybe they're just flying under the radar with bulk ad submissions...

I have background in IT security. This is what i recently saw:
1 FB group somehow opening tons of agency accounts. This is not with Rep or any phone calls or contacts. But running some kind of exploit and it was working. He reckons that he did 50K ads a day. I did see his traffic stats live.

FB denies my legit dating ad for the whitelist thing. yadda yadda yadda. Knew that was going to happen eventually. Thing is the link it gives me to contact them goes to a white page.
Trolling me. Nice....

Dating on FB is stricktly prohibited unless you are in whitelisted league. AM is not impossible not even close to impossible.
There are always rules which we must abide by to make playing field equal for all. If you don't respect such rules then you got no work ethics.
Show us what kind of dating ads work on FB now.

You talking about equal playing field for all, respecting FB guidelines/rules & proper work ethics? Your other threads clearly tell that you use multiple FB accounts, buy/sell agency accounts, use cloakers, run adult on facebook, which is all against facebook guidelines. If you think I've got no work ethic if I'm running dating, then I'm no different than you.
peace
