Setting up my first ads trough power editor.
Which type of conversion should I choose?
I can't put use the pixel since I don't have access to conversion page.
Do I select clicks to websites then since that is the only thing I can really track trough Facebook interface?
I have of course a postback URL but not sure how to use that with Facebook. Is there a topic on this already?
Hey, what kind of ads are you dealing with - newsfeed or sidebar?
A postback URL is not useful with Facebook - they have javascript pixels only. You can of course use the postback URL with a tracking system such as Prosper202, CPVlab, etc.
As for the type of bidding mode, you have 3 options - CPC, CPM, oCPM. Only the latter takes into account pixel transactions. If you are using oCPM then I recommend just using the default bids and getting some data. When you bid for clicks vs engagement with oCPM it changes the weighting toward these objectives - you can accomplish the same thing by manually setting the CPM $ amounts for each objective. As with most campaigns it pays to test the different bidding modes - one does not always win!
Be aware that the oCPM system really needs the tracking pixel to be sending back lead/conversion data so while that bidding mode might work well for a specific campaign, it won't really 'optimise' efficiently.
Hope that helps!
I am using the ads on the right only atm.
I have no way if using that tracking pixel so I started with CPC end kliks as the objective. I could make the conversion as they click trough from the landing page to the offer. Would that be a better way to track?
That would certainly help provide some data which is always good! If doing that then you would use oCPM so the system optimises toward people who meet that objective, as told by the pixel.
