CPVlab question (8)

CPVlab question

As I'm relatively new to CPVlab, I've been wondering how important it is to match up the LP URLs and the Campaign URL.

The CPVlab user guide states:

IMPORTANT:
When setting up campaigns always use the same URL format with all of your own landing
pages, links (base2.php , base3.php , etc).

For Example: http://www.yourdomain.com and http://yourdomain.com
All links inside a campaign and landing pages should be the same type (either with or without
'www.') but NEVER a mix of links with 'www' and links without 'www'.

My campaign URL is http://track.xxxxx.com as shown in the campaign setup page. So should my LP URLs just be http://xxxxx.com, without the "www"? And since I've already been running campaigns with the "www" in the LP URLs, would there have been any negative consequences for doing so?

No mate, that is valid only for if you're using main domain for tracking (so sometimes it has www sometimes not) , in case of a subdomain, just always use your subdomain >

http://track.xxxxx.com

sorry I thought I would ask a CPV related question in here instead of starting a new thread.

1.

switching from P202 to CPV, this is how I set up my links:

Code:
http://mytrackingdomain.com/base.php?c=8&key=fds7fdsnfds78fbds&keyword=banner1&placement=placement1
I manually change the keyword/placement token for every banner. in prosper202, there was a nifty way to analyze your data by checking tokens against each other (landing pages, then placement then banner). i cannot find a way on CPV to do this

2. does anyone know if JuicyAds has their own tokens?

3. when updating the conversions on CPV from the aff netowrk, a lot of converstions don't seem to show up. anyone know why this is?

That means all links inside your campaign should be the same format, LP and offer URL should be http://www.yourdomain.com or http://yourdomain.com

Your current campaigns should be fine as long as all the URL in the campaign set up has the same format. You don't need to match your links to the campaign URL.

@Angry Old Lady - 1. Are you setting banner names as keywords (or another "Extra Token")? Our CPVLab guide (in my signature) tells you how to do that.

2. I thought the answer was "no", but some investigation led me to this: http://www.juicyads.com/faq.php#buyads_dynamiclinking

3. Is this even after uploading subids manually?

1. right on! i'll have a look

2. Juicy is down for maintenance right now. i'll have a look in a bit

3. i've always uploaded the subid's manually. generally, i'll see about 10% difference with the subID's

they look like this, which I find strange..

Code:
[[subid]]wv7kqyo1_3_1225732
shoudn't the tracker be removing the [[subid]] part?

In CPV Lab, you have to leave the subid part of the offer link empty, not use a [[subid]] placeholder like in P202.

The subid just gets added at the end of the link by CPV Lab.

So your link should look sth like this: http://affiliatenetwork.com/?a=12345&c=6789&s2=

ahh alright that explains a lot. ill change it now.

for the previous data, i'll ctrl+H remove all of the [[subid]] from the conversion report and see if it solves why some of the subid data isnt showing
