Anyone have experience with popunders/PropellerAds?

Hi,

I started a test campaign on popunder inventory of PropellerAds, country Italy.

I acquired 500.000 pops, 20k until now.

My lp is a video sales page with an access now button. Visitors have to watch the video, see some proofs then go to my trading software.

The BIG problem is that only 20 have clicked on that button!

The lp is proven to work on FB, 100% ROI.

Who knows what inventory they have or some tips to optimize.

Did you get a tracking token from them so that you can track down which pub is sending you bot clicks? something like {pubid} or {siteid} is gonna help a lot.

On FB you probably got targeted traffic , popunder traffic is HIGHLY untargeted and most probably some bot traffic as well, so don't expect the same CTR.
I find an alert box will almost always increase CTR on popunders, you could try that.

@ kokofai, I didnt, I have no experience with popunders, just wanted to test how is working this type of traffic.
@ maximallimit, my lp has an auto-play video, if is real traffic I think is almost impossible to have only 22 visitors on 2nd page from 50k pops.
On fb I target males over 21 years, not some tight targeting.
The problem is that now is weekend and I can't contact them to stop it.

You should always use the traffic sources token to track publisher ids when possible! How can you optimize anything if you don't.

2nd, auto-play isn't a good thing in this case, imagine yourself about to start watching your episode of dr house and someone starts speaking in the background, the only thing you wanna do is find that damn tab and close it ! Popunder traffic is a lot of streaming/torrents so you have to adjust your LP accordingly!

And finally, nothing is impossible

I have to learn some tracking because I am a complete newbie at advanced tracking.

I managed to increase a little bit the cvr, right now I am at 1.5%

Need more tips&tricks to make it profitable.

Any idea will be helpful.

You could try poping a squeeze page instead of your vsl, pre-sell them on what you have to offer and also gather their email to put them through a sequence, that will give you more chance to convert them later.
