Hi everyone I'm preparing to run my first email submit offer. I was planning on running it on FB due to the targeting nature of FB. But after reading a big on the forum about how hard it is to run a campaign on FB im really worried about being banned. The way i am going about it is to do a quiz that the audience is passionate about to let their guard down then hit them with a prize offer for participating (email submit). I have a few questions. how long should i make the quiz? After they submitted the quiz they would receive a thank you for participating and i was thinking of having them enter their email on that page (which would pre-pop to the offer) for keeps to build me a list. Do you guys think that is a good approach. Also what should my CTA be on both the submit quiz page and claim your prize page. I have created 3 LP one has video the other two has an image related to the topic. I will be rotating between. Any bit of advise will work.
Thank you.
What is the payout of the email submit, and what are you anticipating your CPC to be? FB CPC can be quite pricey.
There are a couple of email submit offers i will be rotating between but the pay is about $1.40, i'm not sure what my CPC would be. I was thinking about doing PPV, but i just thought for the angle i was aiming for that FB targeting would have been great.
Hmm, I don't know what FB's current stance is on email submits, but I know they're not particularly keen about any form of opt-in. This sounds like a potentially somewhat ban-risky campaign to me - you might be better going with PPV unless you're prepared to deal with the problems of FB bans, new accounts, etc.
Does anyone have a firm answer on how FB reacts to email submits?
Also - email submits aren't usually particularly high-quality offers, and tend to have issues with scrubbing. If you're looking for a clean FB campaign you might do better with something like games.
I was worried about that after all i read about FB on here. I thought about doing PPV but i guess i may need to rethink the offer on the back end. Do you mind if i PM you caurmen, explain to you the angle i'm taking and maybe have and idea about what works with that angle. I really think it's a good angle just need to match it with an appropriate offer.
Thank you everyone for chiming in.
There was this guy who did the similar quiz style email submit offer on FB ads, http:// www. premium23.com/facebook-case-study-nba-finals/. You wont be able to run email submit offer without landing page and do make sure you have solid lander that doesn't remotely look fake. Sending offer links via email would be best deal then redirecting users to offer page. I had good success in running these offers on fan pages..But scrubbing is big time issue.
Facebook can be iffy with any pages that ask for users to submit personally identifying information. You need privacy policies and all that jazz which all email submits will (should) have. However, I can guarantee you 99.9% of the time every email submit offer you come across is going to be red-rated on MyWoT, unless it is a new domain, in which case it hasn't yet become red-rated. They also likely have the big disclaimer with all the blah blah trial offers required etc., which Facebook are likely well familiar with.
Aside from the other points brought up, I would stick clear of them when starting out because they are risky to run on FB. Better to learn the ropes with something that has a low risk of getting your account canned!
Sure, feel free to PM me!
Sorry i haven't been updating. I took into consideration all that you guys had to say and decide to go a completely different route. I am going to do FB fan pages, grow it out over time and then monetize the traffic on there with different offer. Thinking about selling related items to each page through amazon associate, doing some tee-spring campaign. I will create 3 pages which targets different niches.
You would be better off collecting email data yourself then mailing them cpa offers.
