Hi guys, good to be here! I couldn't find an exact answer on the forum so that's why I'm posting this.
I'm promoting a Fan Page right now and my main goal to start with is to get some Likes. My FB ads setup is the option where I "advertise for likes" with an ad in the sidebar.
The standard FB setup is the "bid for page likes" option, which is essentially a CPM model from what I can tell, so FB optimizes the exposure.
The question: is bidding on a PPC basis always better? What's your usual experience with this? Right now, I'm paying huge money for each Like ($0.5), so I'd like to take that down a lot.
Looking for likes? Hit the newsfeed 100%. Split test oCPM vs CPC (oCPM will probably do better). Get eyeballs on something that will get their attention and get that like!
