Greetings...
Going to start my journey into the world of mobile and would like some advice so I can start with a strong foundation.
I read Angry Russians mobile guide, which is fantastic. Only concern is that some info may be outdated since it was written in 2011.
Looking for a little guidance in 2014 and if things are generally the same now as when his guide was written then no problem.
My questions are:
For someone brand new to mobile:
1. Starting niche to focus on?
2. What networks are best to work with?
3. What traffic sources should I apply to?
4. Do you recommend Mobaff tracker?
5. I have a wiredtree VPS 2gb of ram, sound good?
1. Focus on apps installs or pin submits.
2. Depends on which niche you decide but you can be covered for mobile across, f5 media, glispa, yeahmobi, mundo.
3. Decisive ads, is a good place to start a tonne of documentation and support on STM.
4. I haven't used it recently, so I can't comment. STM mobile tracker is free and well supported here.
5. Yes.
PIN submit is where a user subscribes to a service and gets billed monthly by his carrier.
There are 3 types
One click flow when the offer automatically detects the phone number and a conversion is generated once the user clicks that subscribe button
MO optin when a user gets a sms on his phone and has to reply to verify. A conversion is counted when he replies
And the last is when a user a gets sms and has to enter the code on the offer's page
Hope this helps
Is V4 the latest version of the STM mob tracker?
Yep, V4 is the latest and current version.
What Mr.Green said.
As for the tracker, I think the MobAff tracker has been merged with mobit from matomy and not sure if free anymore.
Question about Pin Submits. They are not available or even trending in all countries, are there any resources stating what countries are using them?
For #1 just focus on whatever is doing well on affiliate networks and choose a few to test!
