Translate Website Text & Blog Posts - Good For International SEO? (4)

Hi,

I mainly target international users and I know English is around the 2nd most spoken language around the world, but I was thinking of translating my website text and blog posts into other popular languages. I don't want to just use "Google Translate" plug-in because I'm sure it won't translate the text 100% the right way; so I would rather have fluent professionals do this.

However, by doing this would I notice any SEO increase in international traffic and keyword rankings from international Google sites?

Ok, thank you! That's what I was leaning towards; I guess I'll give this a shot and see how it goes...

Firstly, I'd look at search volumes for the countries you're hitting up, because it could be a good indicator that you're getting in early, or you're going to be up against it.

Also...One thing to remember is to make sure you change things that specifically target whatever country you're going after. A flag change or what-have-you isn't going to be enough! It's easy to get translated content, but each country's going to have its own lingo that means something to them, while it may not mean anything to another country's audience.

On top of targeting what ever brand/product phrase you're trying to get visibility with, your keyword research for the long-tail could be slightly different in each country. So yeah, you'll get traffic, but there's no guarantee it will be quality traffic if you haven't researched that country's 'uniqueness', so to speak.
